Task master spoiled? Anyone else not enjoying the new series?

Because of the rude American bloke? He is so aggressive and nasty - just seems to not be in the spirit of the show. He’s spoiling it for me which is a pity because I have a soft spot for Matthew Baynton and the others are good this series too. Anyone else find him awful or is it just that I‘m not getting the joke?

Meh, there’s usually one I like less than the others, and in this series it’s not even him! Doesn’t spoil the show for me.

I am enjoying it, but then I see Jason as being tongue in cheek in his rudeness.

Watching the interaction between Fatiha and Greg is interesting.

I don't mind him, I think it's his 'act' for Taskmaster.

I think this is a great series, the mix of people is really interesting. I don’t find Jason Mantzoukas either aggressive or nasty tough - pretty much the opposite in fact!

I don't find Jason aggressive or nasty. I thought he seems quite a nice man. I love Fatiah and Stevie. I'm not keen on Rosie Ramsay, but not too the point I'll stop watching.

I am loving this group: one of my favourites so far. Fatima and Matthew are my favourites, but Jason is amusing and self aware rather than overwhelming in his impotent furies for me at least.

Best series so far for me! I really like Jason. He is very funny and warm, and also rather tasty. Also love the bloke from Ghosts. Very funny.

Fatiha has a great comedy persona.

I’m really enjoying this season, after going off it for a while. I really like all of the contestants, both in their teams and individually. I love that JM requested to be on it, he looked like a kid on Christmas morning in the earlier episodes. I also really fancy Matt Baynton.

Best series for a while. They've gone back to basics for the tasks and the " rude American" wanted to be on it. It's great to be able to take the piss out of him.

Agree this is the best lineup for a few series. I find Jason Mantzoukas weirdly adorable and he's be my favourite if Matt Baynton wasn't on it!

I'm really enjoying JM on this - I think he's a breath of fresh air, and really funny.

DS makes me watch it, so at least JM is making it a bit more enjoyable.

Jason Mantzoukas loves TM. Zany and chaotic is his comedy persona (he's awesome in Brooklyn Nine-Nine). He's not aggressive at all.

I'm enjoying this series quite a bit. The dampest squib IMO is the series with Nick Mohammed and Steve Pemberton, but there's a lot of joy in even a comparatively weak series of TM.

I'm guessing you've never seen him in Brooklyn Nine-Nine or The Good Place, but this is very much his persona. I love him.

Matt is an all round treasure.

This is the best series of all time. The tasks are great. The cast chemistry is superb.

mat is just a sweetheart. I love Rosie. Stevie is adorable and I LOVE Fatiha! Her grumpiness combined with her seduction of Greg is just perfection

I love this line up. There are only two seasons where I've not watched the whole lot, one because I wasn't enjoying Aisling Bea, and the other because I wasn't enjoying Andy Zaltzman.

Jason loves the show and it shows, he’s just so happy to be there and take part, I love him. I don’t think he’s aggressive, it’s just an act, mock anger. Never heard of Stevie and find her really lovely, love Matthew and Rosie anyway and I’m warming to Fatiha, I really didn’t like how aggressive she was but she’s growing on me.

I love Jason, think OP has misunderstood his character. I’ve loved his characters on Brooklyn 99 and Good Place so really excited to see him on this.

I was so excited to watch Jason on taskmaster but although I do like him I love Matthew and Fatiha - when she flirts with Greg it's so funny.
