Baby Archie has grown a couple of months in a few episodes!

Roo has a daughter she has as a teenager and gave up for adoption.
She has a brother Duncan and a sister I think, can't remember her name

Username is because I've had depression and anxiety on and off for most of my life x

Roo's daughter is called Martha, she ran off with Hugo Austen (John's stepson) never to be seen or spoken about again, I'm sure there's a grandchild somewhere.

She has another brother called Owen Dalby (Ric's father), and a sister called Quinn Jackson (Ryder's mother), as well as Duncan.

It's weird that none of this has come up during the fostering/adoption, especially giving up her daughter for adoption.

Roo is behaving very erratically and totally unprofessionally. If it is right that Adrian is Cohen's father and he is proved to be a decent bloke then Roo should be preparing Cohen for the possibility of at least having a relationship with his father, not demanding that she has more right to keep Cohen than his own biological father 🙄

And yes, the fact she had her own daughter adopted is relevant. I would argue she feels guilty over abandoning her own daughter and is trying to atone by fostering. The very fact she was so blinkered over Eliza shows how desperate she was to be a good parent.

@xSideshowAuntSallyXx are Owen and Quinn full siblings or half? Great knowledge/recollection by the way. I remember Ryder but didn't connect that Quinn was Roo's sister.

Half siblings, both have Alf as a father.

There's also Shauna who was Ailsa's daughter, so half sister to Duncan and step daughter to Alf. I can't remember what the backstory to that was but she was adopted.

She's also cousins with Lance Smart. So technically Marilyn was her cousin in law at one point. Also Don Fisher is related to her by marriage to her aunt.

Old Home and Away was so good with their small town family ties.

I'm not sure but apparently neither of them have a fertility problem but surely they need to try for more than 2 months.

Ailsa had Shauna adopted because she was the result of Ailsa being assaulted in prison I think

@strugglingwithlife thank you for your honest and open reply. I hope you see brighter days ahead, but when you're in the depths it's hard to see clearly. I speak from my own experience over decades of depression and anxiety, thankfully seems to be in the past now. I've been on SSRIs most of my adult life (& still on a low dose, probably for long for life)

@thecatdidit I'm sorry to hear you have also suffered with depression and anxiety for a long time, it really is horrible. I've also been on SSRI's for decades and will be on a low dose for life x

This whole Cohen story is getting more bizarre. Why would the local bobby be involved in delivering DNA test results. Surely it would be done by social services and not at the police station.

And now Roo is talking about shared custody with the father. Bonkers!

Do we think Jo and family are staying for the long term given moves on buying a house? I can't take to her! Not sure why!!

Also surely the way Roo has been behaving means she shouldn't foster again..

They're in the opening sequence, so I assume they'll be around for a while.

I so want John to go travellng with Irene. It would be a lovely ending for both characters. Although I'd miss John. But he could come back with the sad news that we all know is going to happen.

Also what does Sonny do for money? How does he pay rent, buy all these breakfasts and drinks at Salt? Is he another trust fund kid? He gave Remy his card back when they fell out so he can't be using that. There's a massive plot hole there.

I don't like Remy when he's all woe is me. He brings the others down.

I don't like Remi full stop. He's a completely pointless lazy arse. His trust fund enables him to buy his way through life and buy friendships and I'm so glad Bree dumped him as she deserves much better.

Agree about not liking Jo. Neither her or Harper are a patch on Felicity. I'm not talking about looks, just the general personality and lust for life that Felicity had. Jo and Harper are so bloody miserable that Tane needs to avoid them both.

Also agree that Roo has proven time and time again that she is a terrible foster parent. I thought she had turned a corner when she was encouraging Cohen and Adrian's relationship (and I felt for her) but she's now back to putting her own selfish needs first. Don't they give you any sort of training to be a foster parent?! 🙄

@PrincessScarlett I miss Felicity. She was one of the best characters! I actually turned off the other day as found it all quite doom and gloom. Have never really liked Remi sadly. Yes john should go travelling thats a good happy story line!
Who do we think david is going to end up with?

@sc0ttishlass I miss Felicity too. Her death had me crying my eyes out. It was done so well.

I have an awful feeling David might end up with Roo 😱 other than that there is only really Marilyn. Unless he goes for someone much younger but that won't go down well with Lacey or Jo.

I still haven’t watched the felicity scenes as I’d just had my own near death experience and I was trying to keep my emotions in check.

Maybe John could go on the first leg of the trip. And how did they get that map sorted in 2 hours?!

I don’t know what it is about Jo that makes me take a dislike to her.

Roo and David but maybe maz should have a love interest.
