He probably meant she isn’t as submissive as he would consider suitable for her race. He was essentially calling her an Angry Black Woman.

It's annoying as we can't form an opinion of alima or remell as we NEVER see them. I know there's been a lot of arguments and drama and they'd prefer to show that but they really should show some bits of those 2, however boring, so we can judge for ourselves.

She looks a bit similar to Catherine Zeta Jones, which is as Welsh as it gets, though CZJ does occasionally play Hispanic characters.

Agree that Shae's 'hard work' comment to Alima relates to nothing we've seen, and if he finds her hard work to talk to, that's on him. He's the monosyllabic one, she's very chatty when we do see her, to the extent that I find I stop listening. I think Shae's comments were mostly objectifying with the women even when they were positive, but he's no philosopher. I think he's a duff contestant and can go now.

Intrigued to see what order the girls will be allowed to pick in as it will make a huge difference in who ends up with which guy. Not that it matters really as few have a genuine attraction. And I'm starting to think they've ditched public votes!

I read on the other forum it could be because of what Remell has been saying to him. They seem to be pretty close so Remell probably confides in him if situations are annoying him.

Like the majority of countries in the world, in Wales there are some people with a mix of ethnicities in their blood/people of various ethnicities, (and many of them were born there!)

I mean, that would be like seeing Stormzy on TV who was born and raised in Croydon, and say ' hmm, he doesn't look English!'

Look at Catherine Zeta Jones for example. Same dark hair, darker skin, and brown eyes, yet she's WELSH. What about Shirley Bassey.. WELSH.

Not everyone who lives in Wales is going to be light skinned and blue eyed. There's lots of different ethnicities and religions in Wales... Muslim and Hindu and Sikh and Buddhist communities live there... amongst a few others. Cardiff houses around 80% of the Muslims that live in Wales.

I assumed all is not well with Alima and Romell for Shea to say that about her. I feel like he’d have been far more flattering about his friend’s partner if all was going well and nothing had happened. There was no question of why she’s hard work, from her or anyone else.

So strange this side of her hasn’t been shown if true. Surely it is true as nobody seemed perplexed by him saying this or did I miss something?

Yes, I was suprised by the 'hard work' comment. Alima seems very quiet and sweet, so there must be stuff we are not being shown.

Shakira is showing her true colours now. Giving such mean girls vibes. I have not liked her from the start but didn't know why. There was something about her. She gave Queen Bee vibes to start with, and I felt she was a bit full of herself, and now it turns out she is a bit catty too. Disappointed in Toni as well. She was my favourite, and she is turning into a nasty piece of work. I imagine Shakira and Toni would have been school bullies.

I feel we say every year that the men are disappointing.

I liked Salmon Chris and the man who ended up with Camilla. (Lovely Camilla!!).

I'm catching up on Unseen Bits. There's loads of bits of all the girls chilling together, so I'm thinking these two mean girls groups are producer driven. It's clear there are two groups but the bitchiness we see between them wasnt there at all on Unseen Bits. Alima and Remell feature little on Unseen Bits too which is weird.

There's normally a lot of talk about black women getting a rough ride in the villa so I guess if there's any truth in Shea's comment they could be protecting her. I do hope not though and prefer to think Shea is just chatting rubbish. It's true though that nobody was in total disbelief about his comment though... although they were possibly still reeling from the way he'd casually just labelled Helena a mug! There’s a popularity poll up at the moment,(who would you like to sunbathe with) no one is running away with it in terms of popularity. Yasmin and Remmell are bottom with 1% each.

If there is trouble in Alima and Remmell’s relationship I’d like to see some of it, any of it, rather than another rehash of the women bitching. Given we’ve so few couples left right now.

About Alima? Just 'hard work'. He was only supposed to use one word to sum each islander up, but he was overtaken by sudden and fleeting verbosity.

Actually regarding the Welsh thing its true loads of people there have black hair/ dark eyes. Spanish/ French previous roots. More than people in other areas of the UK.

They showed a clip of Harry getting teary during a convo with Dejon, he seemed to be feeling guilty about the fact things were awkward between him and Helena as she'd been cold towards him. Looks like Helena might give him another chance though by the looks of first look. Harry will definitely crack on with the new girls won't he!

Harry just wants what he can't have... like many lads. Unfortunately for him, time isn't on his side and he may need to grow out of this pretty soon. It's not a good look for an actual man.

Definitely not a good look for a decent man! I don't think 30 is that old tbh though, he's got plenty years ahead to potentially continue with his player behaviour. He doesn't have the biological clock ticking in the same way 🤔

I just mean more as women mature they generally get wise and won't put up with it. Unless he goes for the younger models I guess.
