How on earth did I miss this programme for so long! I absolutely love it and how on earth is Hugh Laurie so hot in it, what is that app about?!!

I am on S7 currently, have basically binged watched. I must be the only person left to watch this haha!

What am I going to watch after this?!

We just did the same, we missed it the first time as DS was small, now we have watched the whole lot as a family.
Loved most of it but with some big misgivings as to portrayal of Cuddy. Great character but some very misogynistic storylines and script from House’s pov, made me uncomfortable in her behalf some of the time.
However loved the rest of it, (particularly Chase 😊) and House’s relationship with Wilson…
Agree HL very attractive in a way he has never been on British TV!

I invested in the dvd box set and have watched it so many times. HL is ridiculously hot and I love the weird medical stuff.

I watched it back in the day and re-watching it now on Netflix

A lot of of the language is uncomfortable and inappropriate these days. Too many racial jibes and sexual orientation digs.

however Hugh L is amazing

I noticed he seemed particularly hot in the later psychiatric hospital scenes When he’s with the German woman.

House MD is hot because people showing mastery of their chosen passion often are hot. The Blackadder/Wooster/English buffoon characters - not so much!

It was a fantastic series. The questionable stuff about Cuddy is I think resolved by the way the series ends.

But it’s been a while since I watched it so it may be worse than I remember, given it will have been ‘of its time’.

Bear in mind House is an extremely flawed character, and behaves very badly at times. Some of what we see will reflect that!

Do let us know when you’re finished and have found something to match it - try as I might, nothing comes close. I was late to the party as well and only watched and finished it recently. For a series as long as this - I was very pleasantly surprised at the ending which was very well done. Unlike other “big” programmes. And yes, Breaking Bad with your stupid ending, I’m referring to you

I only discovered it 6 months ago...binged watched it all within a month, after which I was deeply in love with HL😁

I gave it a month or two, then binged watched it a second time - brilliant tseries!

I’m in a rewatch now it’s on Netflix. Watched it when it first came out. And again on DVD. I love it.

Go old school and watch ER if you haven’t already. Far superior. You’ll see all the plots as well that GA have lifted…

So my memory is that House is meant to be deeply objectionable so the things he says ARE awful. Even when the show first aired.

Well yes and a lot of the time it’s very funny. Just that in some of the storylines he’s beyond the pale. I guess that’s the point, and it gets worse with each series.

I only watched it a couple of years ago on Prime and wondered how I had missed it when it was on originally.

Yeah, i have never noticed before but hes got very sexy eyes and that lovely moody look!

I’m rewatching it for the third time as it’s such a great show. Did you realise that House is based on Sherlock Holmes and Wilson is based on Sherlock’s sidekick Doctor Watson? The mystery solving/drug addiction themes are part of both stories.
