Anyone else watching? As always my jaw is on the floor. The first couple - he is a prolific cheat, she is ten years younger and seems quite upset by the previous infidelity yet here they are…at a glorified orgy. Why?!

I thought this. If something is making you feel sick then it’s probably not for you. And don’t get me started on the phrase “pushing boundaries “

SwedishEdith · 31/05/2025 15:30

Yes, I think the therapists are completely unethical. They never seem to suggest the pushy partner stops and always promote that the reluctant/coerced partner tries again.

Shadesofscarlett · 31/05/2025 15:46

I thought this too. One of each pair clearly does not want to go ahead yet she says go for a party and meet someone and see what happens and take it further. Even thought they are not ready or clearly do not want to do it at all. Feels so coercive and so unethical.

Johnny was such a typical male. He wants to shag another woman. He wants his partner to shag another woman for his titillation, but his head was nearly exploding whenever she was within 10 metres of another man. 🥱 He is absolutely repulsive. When he was violently chewing that gum with his mouth wide open and all the veins in his head popping, he was just a shaking mass of anabolic steroids who looked like he was on the verge of going postal and committing a mass murder. It’s no wonder they got knocked back by the French woman; she was probably in fear for her life.

Amy was disgraceful. Poor, poor Claude. He adored her and she very obviously didn’t give a shit about him.

Agree. I'm an episode behind so don't know the current situation but that whole thing knocked me sick. The chewing gum, his overall demeanor/presence - urgh.

Was he on drugs ore something? 😮🤦‍♂️

Ellephanting · 02/06/2025 09:41

i keep watching bits of this, it’s extreme reality TV! I agree that it seems like one half of the couple is reluctant and is being groomed by the staff to engage. It’s horrifying to watch.

I don't want to cast aspersions, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

The gum chewing and his mouth made me think coke.

Solaire18381 · 02/06/2025 13:13

Just started episode 4. Johnny nervous as hell, every time the camera looks at him he's gulping back the prosecco.

Oh, now the guys have gone and he's in with the girls only, he's warming to the idea.

I thought the same

I've been watching this with DH. We like to swing and this whole set up is a shit show. The way they split the couples up and encourage cruel and careless behaviour is horrible. The 'residents' are clearly prostitutes (no disrespect intended in that term, I don't use the term sex worker for a reason) and it's all set up for maximum titillation and minimum actual learning for anyone.

I thought the same - it doesn’t really make sense to split them up and get one guy to have an orgy when he’s already cheated and his gf isn’t over that.

FortyElephants · 05/06/2025 14:10

Just watching the latest episode - Claude and Amy are in trouble. Amy pushed and pushed and Claude went ahead against his better judgement and then she cries about it. What on earth are they doing?!

mrsmiawallace2 · 06/06/2025 22:09

A new low - man with heart condition and body image issues being forced into this shit show.

Yes im like WTF

mrsmiawallace2 · 06/06/2025 22:14

It seems really cruel even by the standards of this terrible concept. He’s the first one I’ve actually felt sorry for. Why would you push someone you love into that situation?

OP posts:
JenniferBooth · 06/06/2025 22:22

A therapist (one worth their salt) would probably recommend the Sensate Focus technique. But just between the couple themselves

DaimondSpine · 06/06/2025 22:32

Guy with heart condition is terrified of losing her

DaimondSpine · 06/06/2025 22:34

The guy who watched his partner with another woman thought he was going to be centre of attention. I think it shook him to see just how much his partner enjoyed being with another woman . I suspect more than him .

Yes 100% I think it scared him a bit and he’s gone off the idea now

So awful with the guy with the heart condition and body issues, he so obviously doesn’t want to do this, his girlfriend is awful

How did you know you wanted to swing & how did you find like-minded individuals? It always intrigues me how people find others who are up for it!

Finding others is pretty easy - there are websites where people have profiles, and the best way is to use them to make social connections and then you can get invited to parties if you're lucky. There are also clubs that you can go to and try your luck on the night.

As to how we decided - DH was interested before we got together and had made a couple of swinging friends, so it was a topic of conversation from the start. We are pretty adventurous and after a few years together we had a drunken night and made a profile together and just decided to see where it took us. Always had a lot of fun.

Georgie is very popular isn’t she?!
