New series starting next week - really looking forward to it. The teams are travelling in Asia, but I can't find information about the couples yet. Wednesday nights sorted!

I was confused by the money changing. Dh thinks they asked if anyone could change Stirling for Yen and struck lucky , but it seemed unlikely to me on a train !
It wasn’t made clear ( not to me anyway )

The banks were closed so they couldn't change money and had just enough for the train ticket. I think a couple changed money on a train in a previous series.

I'm surprised they filmed the money exchange as I wonder if it's legal to do that in China.

Re money change - I had similar in Cuba. Not legal for Cubans to do this, but they like foreign currency (more stable, etc) so there could be a similar black market for currency exchange in China.

Elizabeth and Letitia were NOT happy when Sioned and Fin caught them up!

Even my teen dd was like - that is not right.

Feeling the production crew are involved in things like Tom money belt going missing and the currency exchange on the train.
Poor Yin seemed very bad form on tonight's episode hope she is doing well.
The brothers are doing great. Obviously they have to do certain activities otherwise the sisters would just keep going on the train/bus.
Love the show has not thought about restrictions filming until reading here so hopefully next week's will see more travel and locations.

Yes, I thought they were quite unsporting- they could have at least been friendly and had a bit of a chat with them. They were very sour faced.

I'm not warming to the sisters at all. I thought the train money exchange seemed a bit too convenient.
It's a pity about Gaz and Yin but they just had too much time to make up.

@RockaLock I did feel slightly bad for her , but I also feel like she was a little intense with her 5 year plan. They are a very young couple and he may understandably want a slower pace.

I do wonder why only one person has the money belt - didn’t each person have their own in previous series?

I think the rivalry between teams en route is for the cameras. They always seem warmer at the dinners etc...

Always been a bit of rivalry , but maybe they are told to do this ? (You never know how much influence the camera crew may have for their brief!)
The girls strike me as the competitive sort though and eager to win.

just caught up. sad the the couple went as I liked them.
the mum and son are boring. the sisters beautiful, but I felt the money stuff was a production thing to make drama.
the young couple are .......so young, he is only 18!!
at the moment the brothers are my faves.
wish they would stop with the back stories.

I thought the brothers' back story was interesting. Such a strange decision for their parents to make with such long term consequences. I would like to know why they did that although I expect they are long gone.

i wonder if the brother who went to boarding school had some undiagnosed thing going on and was difficult

I thought the boarding school brother sounded like he was bragging in earlier episodes, his wealth wasn't whispering.

The other brother seems older than his actual age.

I didn't warm to them until I heard the backstory, I think I like a bit of dysfunction!

But he's the one that has has done better in life in the sense of jobs and money.

Melvin has done more physical jobs than Brian eg army. I have then sense his work has taken a more physical toll on him than Brian’s work.
