I couldn't see another thread but it looks like this starts on Thursday 10th April.

What will be the themes this year? Banquettets aplenty? Grumpy contestants coming on to the thread to tell us off for not being kind? Hideous colour combinations?

John's living room was sad. As was his bedroom.

Oh. I’m not a John fan but I thought his hall was the best.

based on this one challenge I think it should be holly and ayisha

I liked John’s rooms. His only mistake seems to be not sticking crap art on the walls.

Agreed johns hallway was my favourite it felt spacious but also warm

I would have liked to see more from holly but that was bad

The hall saved John and rightly so. It was lovely.

Surprised they let John through but Holly and Ayisha’s was utter shite.

I think John is on his last chance. He needs to nail it next week and I'm really looking forward to all the lovely dogs!

I liked both the women that went home but I think it was the right choice. John was saved by his hallway.

I love dogs too but I know mine has zero interest in the aesthetic of our house. Mainly because he leaves it in a mess and has no respect for my loving painted ‘mole fart’ walls 😂

Paint the walls with meat paste and the dogs will love it

Is that from the new Farrow and Ball range?

We used to tell the youngest DC that dogs always love him because we secretly painted him with Bisto whilst he was asleep.

There were some nice rooms, and I liked seeing them do a whole flat (apart from the bathroom). But I don't think the real clients (as opposed to Michelle and the guest judge) would go for any of them.

My parents live in a place like this. They would never have bought one of these show flats, and nor would any of their neighbours.

One thing about all the colour, people who move into these are usually downsizing and have loads of furniture and soft furnishings already. They don't want it to clash with the walls/ceilings/whatever.

I think the right two went. They just seemed amateurish.

Single beds always make it seem like the room must be small

A small double is a good option for a smaller room.

(And now I’m thinking that ‘small’ is actually quite a weird word?).

Yes - you can dress it as a double and make it misleading!!
