Yes am right up to date...really enjoying it although frustrated that Presley went off with Jane. Kane has access as he's a powerful man. Again, not the best plot point.

i think the latest episode was easily the worst unfortuntely. Just strayed too far into far fetched territory especially with Robinson able to get access so easily (I won't spoil further)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/02/2025 18:10

Blimey this was good tonight

Stressful though

JellyBeanFactory · 25/02/2025 19:09

I'm leaving tonight's and next weeks to binge together! So will hide this thread for time being,..

boysmuminherts · 25/02/2025 19:25

Oh yes such a good episode

Nowmum43 · 25/02/2025 19:41

I cannot see how this is going to end in just one episode.
Such a hard watch Confused

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/02/2025 19:58

It'll end on a cliffhanger

That voice recording I'll bet anything is AI created

Great series! Does anyone know why Cal's father has access to the top secret tablet? Jane has hidden her real self behind that sweet facade well. Presley walked straight into her trap. Can't wait for the next episode!

He's one of the billionaires who funded the place.

ruralwanderer · 25/02/2025 21:25

Season 2 had been confirmed by Sterling Brown on Instagram but really hope episode 8 isn't a frustrating cliffhanger.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/02/2025 21:27

The thing is, it probably will and then it'll be like a 2 year wait or something!

tryingtocatchthewind · 25/02/2025 22:11

Wow tonight’s episode was intense!

Zombella · 25/02/2025 22:32

Bloody hell that was gripping!

no way it will tie up neatly next week then

I found the last episode quite harrowing really.

many are pointing out how throughout the episode she kept referring to herself as Dr Terri? on her outgoing phone message, so it might be how she always referred to herself, but not on that recording that Sinatra played.

we’ll have to wait and see…

FridayNight1975 · 26/02/2025 08:28

can i say that the scene with them fighting before getting on the plane was so intense and they are both great actors.

but also, not to defend the president because he’s absolutely gorgeous… but he made it clear to him that his wife travelling to Atlanta was not safe anymore, and all Xavier said was ‘my wife has never listened to me’.

spoodlesee · 26/02/2025 23:05

Yes, the president definitely warned him & yes he's so hot!

JonSnowedUnder · 28/02/2025 13:42

Just caught up, that was the best episode yet. I do love JM so pleased to see him again, I think he makes a great president.

I wish the bunker stuff was a little less obvious, of course they were going to kidnap the daughter and there was no surprise in Sinatra saying the wife was still alive. I miss the days when there was only a year or sometimes less between series, it's going to be a long wait until S2. Agree with everyone, next episode is likely to end on a cliffhanger.

She referred to herself as Dr Teri Rogers-Collins. I remember the scene outside the principal's office at Presley's school when he greeted then as Mr and Mrs Collins, or Agent and Mrs Collins, or something and she corrected him and said her full title and name.

Am I misremembering or was Kane Bradford not only a billionaire founder of the underground new world, or was he also a/the architect too?

Two of my favourite moments so far have been when Xavier took his Dad to see Airforce One and Billy declaring his love for Xavier's family. I thought that was very moving given what we saw of his own origin story.

Billy - gone too soon 😞

thanks, i didn’t remember her introducing herself as Dr at the school too.

readingmakesmehappy · 28/02/2025 18:37

That was SO tense. I loved most of it until the ridiculous moment when Xavier spends several minutes arguing with the most powerful man in the world about his wife. Also thought it unlikely the president and VP would have been on the same plane. I'd been wondering what happened to people like the Joint Chiefs (that lovely general with the big ears) who we hadn't seen in the bunker and this explained that.

I wonder if series 2 will be Xavier above ground looking for his wife. I would still watch as loved things like The Road and The 100, but I think the premise would be less original.

JonSnowedUnder · 28/02/2025 18:51

@readingmakesmehappy I said that about the VP being on the same plane but thought perhaps in the confusion they just had to get them onboard.

I agree about the ridiculous arguing about his wife, even though the president had tried to warn him previously. Very entitled considering Xavier had a similar conversation with the secretary about her son, where he promised to make sure would be ok, knowing he wasn't going to do anything. I actually think they missed a beat, Xavier was so angry with the president but I don't see what he could have done (obviously in the moment he would be furious but even months later he couldn't get it?), unless there's something else?

Greentableleg · 28/02/2025 21:14

Just watched latest episode and was gripped throughout! Cal was a great President, Sinatra is a snake and I immediately thought that recording was a fake. Out of all the people who could have survived and made contact what are the odds Xavier's wife was one of them?
Looking forward to the finale but like others have said there's bound to be a cliffhanger!

martinisforeveryone · 01/03/2025 12:00

While we wait for the last episode, has anyone seen Snowpiercer? It's on Netflix.
Four series, 2020-24.

It has some similarities to Paradise, a dystopian world of the chosen who live on a train that is permanently circumnavigating the frozen globe.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/03/2025 12:02

I watched a few episodes of Snowpiercer but didn't keep it up.

martinisforeveryone · 01/03/2025 12:06

I just put it on. Not many lighter moments so far. It's full on.

Lorrymum · 01/03/2025 12:12

Really enjoying this, I had no idea what it was about originally but it's fast moving and thought provoking.
