I thought Nicola looked really good at the wedding. her hair was different. At first I couldn’t work out who she was. I thought she was Lexis grandma who had a fling with Phil

Just as a side issue, what did you all think of Linda's flowery suit? I can't decide if I love it or hate it! I'm looking for a wedding outfit myself and just can't decide if it's too 'look at me!' or is it just a nice modern take on a flowery dress?

Also next week, the locals are grieving for someone - so this can't be Reiss because no-one cares about him:

I Wasn't keen on Linda's outfit, but she looked so well and happier
She does have an unusual dress sense

Not read everything, so not sure if this has been said, but surely she is going to see Ian holding the locket because he caught Peter rifling through that area, then put 2+2 together, she walked in on him checking and finding it.

Everything has been subtly pointing to Peter since the start, I think.

Ohhh I loved it. I liked the change from her pink fluffy clothes to something a bit more mature! I noticed her hair style was softer too and not the right bun. But I may be in the minority!

It looks like a pair of curtains which I wish I could pull off (pull together ha). It's very Linda. I also really liked her hair and wish I could learn how to create these styles.

I don't know anyone in real life that wears Linda clothes.

I hated it. She looked like a roll of wrapping paper. Very in keeping with the character though. I remember when she first arrived in the Square with Mick, she wore a lot of flowery Ted Baker clothing.

One of the letters was definitely addressed to Sharon. So not the 4 kids I don't think.

I quite liked Linda's flowery suit. Better than pink flamingos everywhere imho!

But I really liked Elaine's black velvety looking long coat/shirt thing she was wearing. That's more my style tbh.

Even Honey's wedding dress wasn't bad. Liked the sheer sleeves; it was probably too cold to go without something!

Did not like Will's hair cut. Far too close shaved for my liking. It made his head look a strange shape!

Where was Kat? Was she at the wedding? I noticed Alfie was all chummy with Tommy as if everything was back to normal again with him 🙄

Elaine did look nice !

The whole show has become a ludicrous pantomime. Cindy running around with a gun looking for someone to shoot? Then what? The writers must be off their heads on something to turn out such total rubbish. Watching some of the 40th episodes this week I thought the plots and the acting were far superior to the current guff. I don't see how anyone could relate to any of the stories now. I know it's a soap but all the storylines and the characters are completely without any credibility. It's all so 'unreal'.

Ludicrous storylines are just one of the many reasons I love it.

For me it's just loyalty , escapism and this thread which keeps me hooked on it. Some of the stories are far fetched, but if was about ' who is going to put the bins out' it would be dull
😆 ( although they did a bin story once !)

There have been some ludicrous elements - Cindy's behaviour, Bianca in the hovel, Sonia's basketball bump - but I think it's mainly credible. Phil's storyline is being very well done.

I thought Linda was looking very good, I really liked her hair.

Fingers crossed the locals are grieving Mo. There are a few others I wouldn't miss either.

I do hope they are not killing off Phil. I am sure they wouldn’t unless Steve wanted to go.

@Meredusoleil ahhh I couldn't make out who they were addressed to. Hopefully we'll find out

I watched the 40th show which was good but why is Steve McFadden never in any of these docs? He's such a central character but completely shuns anything other than doing the show itself. I do respect that he's obviously private but surely he'd be part of a documentary about the show

I think Steve is just very low key and doesn't like appearing as 'himself' which is fair enough.

It's a soap.

Characters aren't the type until the script writers gives the character a personality bypass.

In relation to “shock return that changes everything”, I wonder if there's any chance Mick/DannyDyer is returning? (Nothing to do with Cindy, I know).

So many past characters have either done cameos or have been seen in photos, but I don't remember any reference to Mick.

I think the shock return is just going to be Reiss on the tv guide online it's a pic of him for todays episode

I don't think he had cause to hit Cindy at Xmas but he did have to live with her since....

Linda was looking wistfully at something early on yesterday, probs the photo of them both they have up but they didn't show it.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned Mick , but his only been gone a few years and this was about looking back further than that.
Unless he is mentioned today.
Linda looks so lost now , despite still having two school age children around. The knights have taken over so much.

Reiss is going to cause havoc the next few days! It's been signposted a while and now Bianca is out it's bound to happen isn't it!
