DS11 is really into it now, and for his age it is quite informative in how (usually not) to go about business in an entertaining way. He gives good critique about it.

Whoever watched You've been Fired what was the opinions on that?

On You're Fired or was overwhelmingly Green Hired, I think I counted maybe 4 red Fireds.

Pretty sure it's because they only have two camera crews per team so only two sub-teams are possible. It's the same reason they were selling as a pack last week.

In a very slight defence of the candidates, generally when they're all doing something crazy or not doing something obvious, it's because it's a rule or requirement. For ages, people used to ask "why don't they just look stuff up on their phones" when it's blindingly obvious they're not allowed to - there's no way that many people of that age would forget about the existence of the internet! Some other rules I reckon exist:

• Stupid costumes have to be worn for pitches.
• Phone calls between sub-teams are heavily restricted both in number and length to increase the likelihood of miscommunication and general fuck ups.
• Experts, like the honey and schnapps makers last week, can't deliver the talk about the product.

I did think it was a tough task to write a song so fast. But that doesn't excuse the terrible logos, AI singing and creating a pop star that looked like Ann Widdicombe...

I think I remember reading that they aren’t given long enough for the tasks either.

They are definitely not given enough time to do any of the tasks really. Doomed from the get go

It's pretty obvious that they don't. Who would even consider setting up, researching, developing, marketing and pitching a new product within two days?

I wish they had tasks that were more reflective of running businesses. Not sure how it could work in TV terms but, say, a virtual scenario where they are running an existing business but keep having curveballs thrown at them like vital supplies being delayed, striking workers, fuel costs going up, thefts from the business, complaints from customers, etc.

Worth remembering as well that any member of the public they interact with has to agree to be filmed - so if they're selling, they can only sell to folk who are happy to be on camera. If they're on the 'buying obscure items' task, they might find a shop that has the thing they want at a bargain price but they can't buy it if the shop staff won't agree to be filmed.

The logos would also be restricted. They would need to be run by to make sure the public couldn’t mix up with a real company

On Your Fired, Aoibheann said they had something like 40 minutes to come up with a song and with the crew chipping in now and again to remind them time was counting down adding to the pressure.

I wasn't sure why one team had a professional singing and the other had team members singing

I missed this due to being in hospital overnight (low in potassium and magnesium, it takes hours to have the drips "fill you up" on both) and I only realised I'd missed it when I saw that there were a lot more posts on here. Is it worth catching up with on iPlayer? Who was the one who went, I'm seeing the name but not sure which one she was. Was she the one who was wearing a tie and a suit last week? Thank you!

Realised I had the BBC page with all of the contestants on it open. I was right she was the tie and suit woman.
