Does Charlotte remind anyone else of double declutch woman?

Yes!

JustLilacSloth · 10/01/2025 15:37

I saw some criticism of Dan - personally I’m very grateful he’s taking about his autism as my undiagnosed 20 something son was really encouraged by watching him to think about going for an assessment himself. They are very similar.

Countrylife2002 · 10/01/2025 15:39

Dan is the favourite of myself and DD. He’s fantastic

Please remind me what this is!!

Why is it shocking? It’s better to normalise disabilities and differences.

I find it weirder you wonder why Livi consented. It may have been her idea.

She models without her eye and most of her instagram is without it. I do have massive respect for her for this.

That clown 'mission' was a bit of a dud, wasn't it?

Interesting to hear someone say up the thread that someone had pretty much been edited out of the Australian Traitors for continually talking about the production team -- that would be me, in the unlikely event of anyone casting me in the first place. I find those behind-the-scenes-ish things in any programme really interesting, but I would be dreadful TV.

It was completely rubbish. I find all the tasks quite dull tbh, it's like crap forced fun team away day stuff. The really fascinating stuff is the conversations in twos and threes during the day and evening, and the showdowns at the round table

It is exactly like that.

Surely there are lots of examples on TV of more interesting 'missions' that would make better TV? I'm not even sure it's still being made, but that long running Survivor series with teams consisting of entirely awful people in swimwear battling it out on Pacific islands often had some quite fun team obstacle courses, combining strength/athleticism with puzzles so teams could play to individual members' strengths, or endurance things like who could stay standing longest on a tiny, cramped pole. Or mazes. A maze would be great.

TwentyKittens · 10/01/2025 16:12

I was also thinking more Survivor type tasks would be good!

I'm probably in the minority but I think this year's tasks have been better than previously. But that's not saying much!

I am watching Squid Games at the same time as Traitors and actually some of the games on that would be good - you know, without the being killed element. Grin

I thought the gold coins for the three late arrivals in cages was good, and the fuel/gold pontoons boat one, and the gunpowder/money one was fine but I don't know why someone thought remembering which doors the first pair had gone through to avoid scary clowns was a good idea for a challenge. I mean, everyone after the first couple just waltzed straight through holding a balloon there was no 'mission'.

tailinthejam · 10/01/2025 16:42

I shall be interested to see what they have come up with for the other missions. They have all been a bit tame so far.

There doesn't seem to have been enough "We all pull together as a team or teams to do something both difficult and daft, but give the Traitors lots of ways to sabotage it" missions yet.

I guess they'll do that "traps in the wood" one, and presumably a new variation of the slow acting poison/kiss of death one where they have the funeral the next day. God, the mind that came up with that one. People will be on the lookout for "murder in plain sight" actions now, though.

Newgirls · 10/01/2025 17:02

I liked creepy clown. Popping my balloon would have freaked me out

Yes, I can’t imagine how they’d get away with that one?

What other approriate turns of phrase could they make literal? They've done kiss of death and poisoned chalice...

I’m also watching squid games alongside the traitors & thought the same thing!

Linda having to pull off a murder in plain sight would be fun. Last year's was great it was so awkward looking.

No sure what else is possible- get a person to sit in a particular chair? Not sure there's much else - other than touching or holding something.

Running about in the dark in the woods on some challenge would give the traitors an opportunity to do somebody in, and when they all regrouped at the end of it and someone was missing...

JaneJeffer · 10/01/2025 17:35

I wanted Freddie to meet the clown Sad

beautyandTVisgoodenoughforme · 10/01/2025 17:45

So it’s edited to show Armani doing all the talking, and Linda agreeing so comments dislike them for that, but Minah is likeable for both reasons as well. Linda starts trying to manipulate, and she’s over reacting. I didn’t see her questioning Fozia and telling Lisa like that, I thought she was being clever and trying to get ahead of Fozia’s accusation. It’s so interesting how we all see things differently. Livi is a mum of a young child I think some of the comments on here have been too harsh and personal, though I agree the behaviour from the click-cleek -clique is bullying. Storming out of rooms and not speaking to someone is what people mean by Love Island TOWIE vibes.

The show is putting less effort into the missions probably because people say it’s the bit they’re least interested in, but for me the show loses substance without it and I might as well be watching Selling Sunset he said she said

Yes!! Thank you!

Stowickthevast · 10/01/2025 17:50

I think the missions have been better this year as there's been more point to them with the twists except for yesterday's which was a bit shit.

They speculated on the Shrine podcast that it's because the beeb doesn't have the budget to do big missions every episode.

@Lentilweaver I think Frankie & Joe have both been mentioned but only by Lisa with her weird voting which Anna raised last night.
