Second punt is on Junior, forcing Cindy's hand...

Junior isn't aware of how much Cindy still loves her , he ( maybe) only heard one bit of the recording?
It is intriguing and probably turn out to be Ian or something like that

The actors who play Ian (Adam) and Cindy (Michelle) were on gmb this morning. Michelle said Cindy has been bullied and stands up for herself christmas day. This completely puzzled me because in no way is Cindy being bullied, she's made her own bed so to speak. Noone (Adam or interviewer) questioned her on this, or maybe they did and it didn't make the edit.
Cindy is such a conniving, backstabbing character and a terrible mother. It's sad as she's never made any friends, it must be horrible to be that age and have no friends.

I wondered if the mystery gift giver was Lauren.
Whoever it is, was clearly in the alleyway listening to Elaine and Cindy. Then searched the mansion above the Vic for a USB.

Cindy probably has enough dirt on most of them to have a pop back.
Junior is married with a child in Dubai
So he can't talk.
George kissed her twice I believe. I know that Elaine is aware of this, but it's still some ammunition !
Ian pretended Lucy had cancer to get Mel Healy to marry him.
Lauren and the drug taking whilst pregnant ( supplied by her, but she didn't know about the baby then)
I'm sure there's more , but she won't go down without a fight I bet

I have absolutely no idea who it could be that put the usb stick in the secret Santa box. Someone who wouldn't be questioned being in the flat above the Vic so they could pinch it.

Lauren is the most obvious person to put the recording in Anna's box and I know she's at the Knight / Beale Christmas lunch tomorrow.

When did Lauren ( or whoever it was ) hear the recording ? That's why I think it's Anna , she had every opportunity to hear that recording more than Lauren or even Peter ( for example)

Might even be George ? He said to junior he was upset she was leaving town ..
He clearly has been fighting off the feelings for his Rose ..
Maybe he isn't as happy with E as he makes out ?

I think it’s Kojo!

I'm saving today's for later but reading your posts I think it's Gina. She was less forgiving than Anna when Cindy first appeared and must be absolutely furious at her mum for this.

Kojo is a good call tbh.
Getting his own back now he is better ( and everyone is ignoring him again !)

The ' nudes ' on the calendar were good
Looked quite professionally done

In today’s episode we see the mystery person pop the package in the secret Santa box and leave the pub and then it cuts to the carolling and we see Kojo join George for the carols. I think it’s Kojo because he was being threatened by Cindy but has a keen sense of right and wrong and feels the truth should be told. We know Kojo is autistic so struggles with communication and social situations but he hasn’t been shown to have any challenges with his intelligence so there’s no reason the technology should be difficult for him. So it would be a way of him exposing the truth without getting into the trouble that Cindy threatened him with.

Put like that Viewer23, Kojo does seem a good bet!

I think it was Gina. She'd left the pub and she lives with Junior so could have been in her room, which meant she overheard then went looking for the proof?

Anna was out in the square with Freddie but Gina was nowhere to be seen.

We think Junior plants it, it is so obvious he wants it out in the open.

I think I'm going with Kojo as well. I think the fact he is autistic and has seemed quite docile so far in the face of Cindy's threats is mean to throw us off the scent. As a PP said, he doesn't have any intellectual / capability issues and would be fine working out the technology. He def has a strong sense of right and wrong. But I'm just wondering if he is the kind of person who would want to expose her in this way and upset his brother as he doesn't like conflict and drama.

Maybe Kojo wrapped it up thinking it was something harmless , or just the birdsong ?
Although I can't think why he would.
Lots of people live there and in and out that flat ,so could be anyone really.

Ian might have heard it on the CD Cindy bought him the other week and is biding his time.

Maybe Ian dies ? Derek Branning died in a spectacular fashion on Christmas Day one year after Kat had an affair with him! Not that anyone cared much , but it was shocking

Just watched tonight. Loved the church choir part. So surprised to see Nigel I had to come on here and check I was right. Love him as an actor. I can't seem to remember much of a connection left with anyone on the square. Phil maybe.

The reason I can't see it being Kojo, is the way it is being given as a gift. I am around autism on a regular basis, it is a spectrum and yes there's varying degrees but none of them have the spiteful intent to gift something in that way. They would indeed speak the truth and even play a recording etc but it would be done out in the open not gift wrapped for someone

The choir made me sad , I often get a bit tearful this time of year.
It was good to hear some nice singing!

Ravi looked lovely in the calendar. It was funny when the camera panned to both Denise and Chelsea ogling when his picture came up lol.

The choir was nice. I thought it a bit unrealistic that Clayton’s wife was cheerfully serving drinks in the community centre and seemed remarkably well on the day of her husband’s funeral (or was he already buried, I fast forward Yolande’s scenes so didn’t follow what happened with him). Although this is EE and people recover from life changing dramas remarkably quickly.

I’ve changed my mind re the USB and now think it is Ian. It’s suspicious that he’s agreed so easily to go to France. I think he knows…
