Just loved this. Easy to watch and made me smile lots. Adam Brody was brilliantly cast. Anyone else watched yet?

Yes, it's excellent! It was perfect, so real and I laughed out loud. Best thing I've seen in ages.

Era · 11/10/2024 21:49

Thank you!

I loved Adam Brody in "The OC" and found myself falling for him again in this. LOVED IT!!!

Kristen Bell was great, too, as were the sibling characters to the respective main characters.

AddictedtoStrepsils · 11/10/2024 21:57

Yes! Loved it.

Now looking for something similar to watch - so any recommendations would be much appreciated!!

It gave me the same feeling I had when watching "This is Us" and so if you haven't watched that I would recommend it.

Diving into the second series!

Trainstrike · 26/10/2025 23:01

Just finished the second season and have mixed feelings. Loved the chaos of the scene where they play the therapy game.

Just finished season 2. Tears, laughter and generally good series - it did get a bit lost in episodes 6-7 but the final one was awesome.

jay55 · 27/10/2025 21:46

I’ve stopped part way through, not grabbing me as much as season 1.

I thought something a big seedy / cliche was going to happen with Sasha in the final episode and was really pleased when it didn’t

perfect!

Italiangreyhound · 28/10/2025 00:15

Yes, loved it. Dragon 2 is on its way.

Untailored · 08/11/2025 15:47

I’m halfway through season 2 and not enjoying it. I don’t think I actually like any of the characters now and the whole prejudice against Joanne for not being Jewish is really grating on me.

StrongLikeMamma · 08/11/2025 15:49

I’m really wanting to like it but they are all so bloody annoying!

Tigresswoods · 19/11/2025 13:11

I loved this. Think it’s written in a sympathetic way. Can’t wait for S3!

Italiangreyhound · 24/11/2025 21:30

That should be season not dragon.

opencecilgee · 25/11/2025 13:21

it was ok. After two series, nothing really happened. The storyline was basically the same in both seasons

they break up. Get back together. Will she convert? Wont she? Sure they need to move it on in S3?

Untailored · 26/11/2025 08:16

I know it’s a comedy but I just don’t understand how denying someone a promotion because of their partners religion isn’t considered to be absolutely outrageous. They all just accept it.

HermioneWeasley · 26/11/2025 08:19

I don’t see what’s so appealing about her. At the end of season one when she and her sister crash the Bat Mitzvah and make it alll about them should have been a turning point for how he saw her. This season when she uses his first gig as an independent rabbi to settle a childhood grudge was horrendous. She and her sister are awful people.

Because he wants to be senior rabbi but is saying that being Jewish and raising a Jewish family is optional. There are so few Jews in the world and they don’t seek conversion so Jewish people not perpetuating the religion is a real source of worry.
