Yes exactly

I just thought it was ridiculous that she was giving her dad money when she had no home

NorthernGirl1981 · 06/04/2025 14:27

Loved the opening scene of Iain and Teddy singing!!!!

That was an AMAZING tune from when I was young and it put the biggest smile on my face!!

Singing out loud in cars with my friends is something I still do now so thanks Casualty for making my Saturday night!!!

I think Stevies stalker must be something to do with Siobhan's kids. Bit freaky whoever it was got into her flat though.

Poor Rida :( She thought she had something with her new bf but he might be taking after his mentor. It's amazing the head surgeon is so on his son in law about his behaviour and yet...seems consensual relations are frowned upon by the old man, who appears it's better to do things without consent

I am annoyed with Indie and risking her chance of a safe place to live for her dead beat father. I hope she sees him for what he is and goes nc. And that the rest take her under their wings. She need some looking after for a bit

He’s like a lot of men. No issue with bad behaviour unless it’s affecting his daughter. You see it when they ask men ‘would you like it if this happened to your daughter?’ to try and get home to them that something is unacceptable, as they tend to view all other women purely through a sexual lens.

Oldglasses · 08/04/2025 10:24

I was shouting at the TV to Indy - what are you doing, woman!!!

As for the surgeon, no words. Poor Rida.

Agenoria · 09/04/2025 09:35

Why was Whitelaw (Robert Bathurst) operating without a mask?

I get quite tired of the meme of someone being pulled down by their feckless relative, it comes up so often. Sadly we're bound to see more of Indie's father as they've hired a recognisable actor - it's just a matter of time before he turns up on a bed in A&E.

Doubleraspberry · 09/04/2025 11:16

He was on a bed in A&E to start with, wasn’t he? But yes, sure to reappear. And it is quite dull to keep having the bad relative storyline.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/04/2025 18:01

If he was in prison and stabbed then why does he need money

purpleme12 · 09/04/2025 18:09

Probably because whoever wants the money will beat him up if he doesn't get it

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/04/2025 19:20

Ah. Makes sense

HobnobsChoice · 09/04/2025 19:20

Didn't we already have a paramedic trying to help her relative in prison. Jan in fact trying to help her son. It can't have been more than 5 years ago surely. Are they just pulling the same plot lines out of a hat now and putting new names in

AnImaginaryCat · 09/04/2025 20:07

Maybe they got a job lot on the prison location? Like a BOGOF filming deal.

purpleme12 · 12/04/2025 21:48

It's Jan and the control room again! 😂❤️

EnglishSpringerSpanielMum · 12/04/2025 22:00

Pat Phelan from Corrie in it tonight. I don't know why they've decided to make Ngozi an alcoholic - there's been no hint of it until she went to the AA meeting and quickly left (or have I missed something?). Her son is very cute.

Not enough Dylan or Rash recently.

MarchWindsAnd · 12/04/2025 22:09

It took me until more than half way through the programme to remember that he was Pat Phelan, and that Pat Phelan was a baddie. Sure enough, the Casualty character turned out not to be such a goodie as I’d first thought.

Yes, more Rash and much more Dylan, please.

How come Ben is able to break into his dad’s fancy piece’s flat not once but twice?

MrsMoastyToasty · 12/04/2025 22:26

Looking at the map on Indy's computer screen she had dispatched the ambulance to the pregnant woman to the M32 into Bristol, not Holby.

InALonelyWorld · 12/04/2025 22:54

I agree that Ngozi's alcoholism was a bit random, is this all to do with her hidden sexuality?! Also Surely Nicole's MH is still quite fragile to be adding the burden of a secret relationship with a recovering(?) alcoholic in to the mix. I don't think they are going to last.

Indie always looks surprisingly refreshed for someone who has been sleeping rough for months. She didn't seem a very good call handler tonight though but I do wonder when she's going to start making mistakes. I don't know how she's functioning properly tbh.

Siobhan really annoys me!

spiderlight · 12/04/2025 23:32

@MrsMoastyToasty - I spotted that too. Holby was a very thinly disguised Bristol when Casualty started. The suspension bridge used to feature quite a lot. It's filmed in Cardiff now (we were once sat next to a Holby ambulance at traffic lights 😁) but I guess they're still keeping vaguely to the original pretence.

NorthernGirl1981 · 13/04/2025 00:06

I found tonight’s episode really boring 😴

stampin · 13/04/2025 07:30

Too much blood.

LIZS · 13/04/2025 08:15

How old is Obi meant to be? He seemed remarkably streetwise to leave school and navigate his way to the hospital. Agree Ngozi addiction seems odd and something she would ahve dealt with before if so. Would a councillor really have influence on opening an emergency operating theatre? Could Flynn not have called upon fil?

daffodilandtulip · 13/04/2025 08:23

Predictable ending to the stalking storyline.

Faith seems a very odd friend for Stevie to have. She's too whiney and overprotective. I think someone like that would just annoy someone with Stevie's character.

The whole Ngozi storyline is weird. But I guess no weirder than Nicole's psychosis vanishing in a fortnight.

I like the control room. Gives us five minutes away from the emotional problems of the ED staff. It's just the pretence that it's always been there and Jan has always been in charge that kills me.

I kept thinking the same thing about Obi, he looks about 7 years old. A bit young to be wandering the streets and locating the A&E department. He can also clearly get himself home and let himself in too as neither Nicole or Ngozi intended to collect him from football practice due to work. I really can’t stand lazy writing like this! It’s such a bug bear.

The new guy seems really creepy and smarmy. Why can’t we ever just have a nice guy in a senior position? They always have to be slimy and off-putting. Except for Dylan of course who is wonderful!!

Loved how Stevie just ran off mid-shift to go and catch the burglar 🤣 Can you imagine that happening in real life?

I know it’s just TV and doesn’t have to reflect reality, but the ridiculous writing is starting to put me off the show a little bit. I have watched Casualty for about 30 years and I’m so gutted that the show is starting to get a bit silly now.

AnImaginaryCat · 13/04/2025 10:19

Just watching. Help me out here as I feel like I'm missing a bit - where did the biker man come from? Did we just see him I'm the ER and no run up?

purpleme12 · 13/04/2025 11:45

Yes just saw him, no run up

Aha, just as I thought, it was Siobhan's son! It is so frustrating how none of them TALK so misunderstandings keep happening and nothing gets resolved. Gah!
