Selling Sunset Season 8!!

Can't find a new thread on this, so thought I'd start one.

Anyone ready for season 8 of Selling Sunset airing this week?!
I follow Chrishell on Instagram and there seems to be some real drama going off between her, Emma, Chelsea and Nicole.
Also, I didn't realise Chelsea was getting divorced!

It's quite clear really that everything is scripted and set up for the cameras. And the episodes are aired out of sync because hair and nail colours etc keep changing and going back and forth (for instance Bre's hair kept going from black to blonde to black again!)

In one of the early seasons there was a graffiti artist I sort of knew (went to school with his sibling) who went on as a client - he’s successful but no way is he making enough money to buy the house he was touring. I think it’s always been fake.

Really curious who the posh British Amanda architect lady who had built the $25 million house she wanted Chrishelle to take on was (she also viewed a house chrishelle was selling). Anyone found out her surname? I did a bit of a google but couldn’t see anything. She looked like she’d walked off Bold and the Beautiful.

I think Bre didn’t know they were going to turn it on her, that bit is true but this is an Adam DiVello show so it will be set up and produced like crazy.

UK reality shows aren’t allowed to mislead the audience quite so much due to ofcom regulations hence to TOWIE disclaimer at the beginning of the show.

I think it’s hard with US shows as you can get caught up in it but it just shows what people are willing to do for fame.

I agree re willing to do anything for fame. Anyone going on the show knows what it's like by now! But they'll still do it anyway for everything else it brings them. Interesting that Bre said since Chelsea started she discovered a whole new life and was always out 24/7 so no wonder she didn't know where her husband was. Also sad for her kids if it's true and she's never there, especially after her digs about bre's parenting.

I think Bre’s hair is wigs, she said something like, “I wore my blonde hair for you” to her ex who she was showing a house to.

I have to start with a disclaimer saying I hate all reality TV and just don't watch it. However 😬🤣 SS is my secret dark guilty pleasure! I stumbled across it a couple of years when I was off work ill. I polished off about 6 series in a few days 🤣 There's just something about it all that sucks me in! Like a morbid fascination!!

I finished episode 9 last night and felt awful for laughing - I started off so sad but then honestly I couldn't help but think WTAF??!! I was kind of spell bound with a morbid fascination! And watching the unknown guests gently pat their 'tears' I couldn't help but laugh as it seemed so false - apart from one who genuinely looked in floods of tears. Loved Bre's hat for it! Found it difficult to gauge Mary's reaction as when she was crying her face just didn't move and she looked so strange. I do like Mary though.
Really struggle with Chelsea, always have. Feel like she was brought in as another Christine - extreme fashion and a 'says it how it is' kind of person. I feel like she's totally manipulated the situation with Chrishelle, Emma and Bre though. Chrishelle looked uncomfortable a few times when Chelsea made her call Bre. She keeps saying to Chrishelle 'you wanted to know how it came about so you know if you can trust Bre.' I really didn't see it like that all. I really like Chrishelle. I think she seems quite genuine. I can't take to Emma at all. I find it quite ironic that she's being there for Chelsea like this and yet, unless I completely got the wrong end of the stick, she's having an affair with a married man??
I think I only have 2 episodes left sadly!

Not Amanda, Melanie. Her name is Melanie Marlo,apparently she is a runaway model turned into "celebrity matchmaker" turned into designer. Basically, I smell a trust baby right there.

I know they're sad - but this funeral is pure comedy. There are so many people there!

I know people love their dogs, but most people don't expect their colleagues/employees to attend a service.

I agree it gets crazier and crazier.

As someone pointed out up thread Emma's suggestion that her brother be a sperms donor was crazy.

The funeral was unbelievable.

I’ve just screen shot these from Reddit with a summary of Bre’s interview and Chelsea’s live (because it’s really long and I don’t want to watch her prattling on for an hour and a half)

Even if what Bre said is half true and Chelsea's is true, she still did nothing wrong. She didn't bring anything to camera that Chelsea didn't already know. Bre wasn't bothered to bring Chelsea down. She'd already done it herself. Chelsea came out of last season looking a total idiot for trying to rope Cassandra in just because she had a grudge against Bre. How on earth can she be annoyed if Bre did the same?

Haha! I thought it was weird no one knew her.

I think she’s likeable though. She’s the most normal one in there atm and isn’t diving into the drama. She could get tagged as boring down the line but I like that she’s just quite sensible with basic morals etc.

I did think that was a bit odd. Sounds like she’s pissed off a few residents

That article is crazy, she 100% said she owned it, several times. I like her too but that is bad form.

Currently watching episode 5. Every time Nicole is in an episode I wonder what goes through her mind with her outfits.
She's never dressed for the right occasion 😂
All wearing cowboy boots and denim for line dancing and she rocks up in a 2 piece and stilettos 😂

Is that the bit in pioneer town? You can tell she's freezing! Her hands are blue and she's visibly shivering.

God I love this programme- I have binged watched all the series in the last month- and the OC ones. Everything about it weird and just gets weirder- their faces, their clothes, the conspicuous consumption, the multi million dollar samey concrete boxes teetering cheek by jowl on hillsides waiting for tsunamis and earthquakes.
Chelsea is a horror- a classic narcissist. She does that narc thing that when she's confronted with her own bad behaviour just talks over the top of the other person and accuses them of all sorts of batshit stuff to shut them down. So of course she was going to turn on Bre when she told her about her DH even though it seemed obvious she knew already. Nicole is a awful too.
I quite like Mary and Amanza because they seem slightly less insane than the rest.

You would think all the fighting and madness would put people off using the O group but presumably in LA celebrity counts.

@MermaidEyes yeah in pioneer town. And when they turned up there. Mary looked perfect for the place in jeans, denim tied up top and cowboy boots &hat and then Nicole has a glittery denim slimy dress on with heels 🤦🏻‍♀️ and Mary & Chelsea's brokers open when she was dressed for an awards ceremony 😂

It's no wonder she wouldn't give an answer as to how much it cost.

It feel like the American equivalent of when you buy 1 metre of land in Scotland to become a lord or lady.

Love this show! Am feeling a bit bad for Nicole to be honest. Used to love Crishell but I actually think she's a mean girl. Can't comment on the Chelsea storyline yet as am only on episode 5.
