Selling Sunset Season 8!!

Can't find a new thread on this, so thought I'd start one.

Anyone ready for season 8 of Selling Sunset airing this week?!
I follow Chrishell on Instagram and there seems to be some real drama going off between her, Emma, Chelsea and Nicole.
Also, I didn't realise Chelsea was getting divorced!

I watched the whole thing in 2 days. Vulture recaps are incredible. I can't believe only Crishelle and Mary are original cast members. I've never liked Chelsea and this season didn't change that.

Weirdly I have time for Bre. I think she has got the shitty end of the editing stick ever since she started filing. They tried fucking her over with Cassandra, didn't work, now they're blaming her for filming reality tv about what's going on in another cast members real life. Hello, that's the point.

I didn't like many of the storylines. Niko's arc was total overkill. The rest of the girls were not connected at all. Amanza, Nicole and Mary bring nothing to filming. And I cannot stand Emma.

haven’t started new season but I just want to state that:
I find Chelsea stunningly beautiful. I think I’m quite naive and don’t always recognize work that people have had done, besides the blatantly obvious (all the painful looking boobs) but is Chelsea really naturally that pretty facially? Just think she’s gorgeous. Amanza too actually.

Emma - want to like her because I like Chrishelle and think she has quite good judgment but find Emma to be quite fake. And I do think she kind of glommed onto chrishelle to acquire status, although I hate to agree with Nicole. I don’t think she’s a bad person, I just think she is perhaps very insecure and not really herself.

Mary’s mouth fascinates me.

the twins are the very strangest characters on tv.

I was totally team Bre this season.
I believe Chelsea knew before the on screen conversations, and maybe legal things were already in motion. Hence her outfit and actions at the open house.
Trying to badmouth Mary to the twins over the manhatten beach house was a hilarious reach.

Agree about Emma, don't like her at all. Her look is very dated as well. Some of them have just gone far too OTT with the breast implants

Finally managed to watch the first couple of episodes!

I like the new agent Alanna. So refreshing to see someone more understated in blazer and jeans. Although why did she turn up to the construction site in heels when Brett said wear trainers?!

I still like Amanza and Mary. Amanza is naturally stunning. I think Mary does have some kind of facial tic which gives her an odd expression sometimes.

I'm liking Bre more. Still quite like Chrishelle and Emma although I think they can be a bit mean girls at times. I really don't like Chelsea. Interesting how we all see people differently, pp upthread said they think she's beautiful, I think she looks more like a drag queen every season! She's the new Christine with her ridiculous clothes and make up.

I miss Maya and Heather but it's nice to see they have more normal drama free lives with their families since leaving.

Regarding the houses, for all that money they're all built so close together! A house worth £30 million and you can wave at your neighbours from the balcony?
And the Manhattan Beach ones where you have people literally on the beach in your front yard? No thanks!

I thought that. Not that I'm in a position to turn my nose up at a tens of millions of dollars house, but whenever I see those beachfront houses where the balconies are right next to the neighbours and the public beach is right in front of you I never think it's somewhere I'd want to live. Especially if I was spending that much.

@DancingPhantomsOnTheTerrace exactly! The noise and the lack of privacy would do my head in! If I had that much to spare I'd be buying an estate in the middle of nowhere!

It costs a fortune to bring it from Cararra in Italy and is like a statement after one is done making statements with Hermes bags and alike.

I’ve been to Manhattan beach and yes they are literally on the beachfront with people walking past directly outside, able to see in over very low gates - nothing to stop a random hopping over. It’s so bizarre

Agree Chelsea is stunning, sometimes her eyes remind me of Naomi Campbell. In the scenes where she isn’t wearing any make up I think she actually looks more beautiful than when she has it caked on. But still Team Bre in terms of the drama. Feel like it’s a way of deflecting from the actual person that fucked Chelsea over, which is her husband sadly.

I liked earlier seasons much more, probably wouldn't have started watching if it all started off like in seasons 7 and 8 (a bit of a RHOBH on steroids vibe). But, alas, too late to jump off this train.

Chelsea looks great, apart from when she has the heavy lip liner on which is so weirdly distracting.

Also she does a heck of a lot of work to distract from the fact that she isn't actually attractive at all.

Chelsea looked like she had 2 top lips in her interview segment bit. Was very strange looking. And her outfit when showing the house to Joey Essex was just ridiculous.

And Amanza...is there a point to her really? She isn't a realtor whatsoever.

A bit mean going for appearances

Never watched this before but I’m on my ninth episode. Do I need to back and watch all the other series? Hmm. It’s weirdly watchable, they make drama out of basically nothing. Bit like real housewives. I have problems believing any of those women have birthed children. They’re so tiny! Some very weird aesthetic and surgical work going on as well. Chelsea looks like she’s had major body work as well as face. Thought it was odd that Mary said she had an implant rupture but was quite happy getting on the bull ride.

I was a bit perturbed by the Bre/Chelsea drama. It all seemed to bit that Bre had brought the issue 'to camera'. Surely for welfare reasons cast members are able to veto certain things being broadcast? I also find it very difficult to believe that before filming the scene no one knew what Amanda was going to tell Bre?

Whilst Chelsea's turmoil appears genuine in that she filed for divorce the whole scenario with Bre,Heather and Crishell seems very manufactured.

And episode 9 🙀!! Totally batshit! I was quite empathetic to Brett and Mary at first then episode 9 came along and I just thought it achieved new heights of batshittery!!! 😂

Amanza's figure at her birthday looked insane ! She's 47!

I am one and a bit episodes in . I have watched all the previous 7 series but I don't think I can continue to watch it anymore .
I loved the sheer escapism and the OTT outfits .
I don't really watch much else reality tv so perhaps I am not their target audience .

Perhaps I am just become more prudish with age but I am struggling with all the tits and bikini shots on display already . I don't remember it being quite as much in your face in the previous series .

They've all had breast implants, they talked about it at one lunch (saline vs silicone). I'm sure Chelsea has had a BBL because the rest of her is so tiny. Bre also said she didn't want a new nose job.

I'm sure there's plenty of facial plastic surgery among the rest of them. Never mind all the fillers. It's hard watching it because they're all so manufactured and if you're like me you feel bad about yourself.
