I can't remember a thing about it from 1st time round so am enthralled again 🤣

1st time I watched it with newborn DS1 and now he's sitting in on bits of episodes with me at 19 years old!

Yes! I saw this was back a few days ago. I fully intend to re-watch it all again. Get the kids back to school first 😂
I think I was the only person I know who watched the whole thing first time around, tears at the end. Really interested to watch it again and pick up on the themes again and see if I can pick out more from it.

Me and DP started rewatching it earlier in the year. Ended up getting sidetracked by The Walking Dead and started rewatching that instead.

My partner impressed me with his ability to recall 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 from memory despite not watching an episode since 2010, I'll have to go ask him again now if he still remembers the sequence.

Ihatemondays1962 · 28/08/2024 19:27

I didn't watch it the first time round, came across it on netflix and am really loving it. Already on series 3.

Wafflefudge · 28/08/2024 19:30

Would love recommendations of other shows as good as Lost?

Awrite · 28/08/2024 19:30

I remember the build up, the people wandering aimlessly on the beach. However, I haven't watched a single episode. My eldest is 19 this year. I must have been too tired.

Anyway, I am looking forward to watching the whole thing. Hoping it's as good as everyone remembers.😉

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 28/08/2024 19:31

I think IIRC the best series was 4. The last series was terrible though, really puts me off the time investment

Casdentwo · 28/08/2024 19:34

Just watched first two seasons but got bored so jumped to last season and half watching while on the phone

The OA on Netflix was great but axed after 2 series

Try Dark on Netflix it's German but it's the right kind of mysterious like LOST. You can watch it dubbed but it's better in the original with subtitles

Ooh I didn't realise it was on Netflix! I absolutely loved it when it first came out and will definitely rewatch it. I remember back in the day trying to piece together clues and looking at the various websites that had been released at the time.

How different times were back then !

eeyoredebbie · 28/08/2024 19:49

The first couple of series of Prison Break weren’t bad and of course Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul

so Fringe is from same producers and we love it!

Nomorecoconutboosts · 28/08/2024 19:53

First time round I ended up renting the last few seasons on ‘love film’ - remember that when they sent you dvds via the post?! As we didn’t have sky
anyway I was totally into it and loved it but didn’t understand the ending (I’m not expecting an explanation here as it would spoil it for others!)

4LittleSpeckledFrogs · 28/08/2024 19:56

I can't remember the ending.

I'm not sure if I got that far.

I do remember the characters and certain events but it's mostly still getting me with the twists and turns.

Still lusting over Sawyer 😅😅

I remember watching it at the beginning too. God, 19 years, that's depressing 😩

Baileysandcream · 28/08/2024 20:00

The ending was a bit weird yes !

Also spend the entire series lusting over Sawyer. And also Jack !

DreamW3aver · 28/08/2024 20:00

I'm nearly at the end of season 1, it's about my 4th time round so I don't need to pay attention all the time and will probably skip over the boring episodes. I dont like the Alison Chaney one or the ones when Locke goes weird towards the end, looking forward to Ben and Juliet coming in

Maxpanda · 28/08/2024 20:02

Yes I'm a few episodes in and watching it right now! I'm loving it tbh, even though I know the ending. I'd forgotten a lot of the little background stories.
And I'm appreciating Jack and Sawyer in a completely different way now I'm older 😂..I was a teenager last time I watched it.

4LittleSpeckledFrogs · 28/08/2024 20:04

Sayid is quite lovely too!

Henry Gale or whatever his real name is freaks me out so badly 🤣

Grateeggspectations · 28/08/2024 20:06

I’ve got the whole thing on dvd. Absolutely love it and watch it about every two years. I do the same for twin peaks.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 28/08/2024 20:06

BEN

DuesToTheDirt · 28/08/2024 20:07

I loved the first series, and after that it seemed like they were surprised by its popularity and just started making it up as they went along, to spin it out as long as possible.

I was a young adult the first time and had far less appreciation of just how hot Sawyer was! I remember at the time feeling they lost their way but not really understanding why. Now, I'm aware they went through major changes behind the screens including the writers strike. I did stick with it all the first time though. Do you remember the furore over the ending with some people thinking it was genius and various websites dedicated to it all?

4LittleSpeckledFrogs · 28/08/2024 20:09

I feel like I spend every episode doing this 🤣
