The script writers made a mistake at one point re that ring - first it was advertised as a garnet, then it suddenly became a Ruby.

He managed to get the ring on her finger , so it must have been resized ? Although the whole ring thing is another ridiculous storyline amongst many.

Would the detectives /police actually do the arresting in a packed pub like that in front of everyone ? I don't know anything about being arrested for any crimes , but I've a feeling they wouldn't have gone about it like that ? Or maybe they do? Have to get in quick in case they run off ?

Getting arrested with all the details spelled out in a packed pub is a right of passage for EE crims. Happens all the time.

I suppose Linda will to rehab for 2 weeks and come out perfectly fine. When in reality all you could do in 2 weeks is detox. Needs months of rehab to get up the bottom of the drink problem.

At least ,with Phil , the writers do examine his struggle to stay sober and his spoken about it to Linda too. I agree that two weeks won't sort her out at all , but I hope it puts an end to drunk Linda who is unbearable at times !

Don't get me started on Reiss. He's pathetic. When they were having the scan and he started waffling on about scientific stuff instead of just being quiet. How could anyone put up with that day after day? I really hope they lock him up for good, although I'm not sure the other prisoners deserve such punishment.😃

To get to the bottom of Linda's addiction would take many months! Being raped and attacked by Dean , Mick missing, killing Ken and covering that up , now having to go to court , her son has autism and her young daughter had to have four teeth out as well as running a busy pub with her own mother and all her family problems. Enough to send anyone over the edge ! lol

I’m surprised she hasn’t had a complete breakdown yet! All that unprocessed trauma she’s carrying. And of course she can’t talk about Keanu because she’d incriminate herself.

Linda could talk about Ken to the other five , Johnny or Phil , but her trauma is probably just too much and it all ends up being easier to try and blot it all out by drinking.
On a lighter note, I'm always amazed that people move home or leave without much stuff or just a few bags. Gina has moved in with Junior with only the clothes on her back it seems.

@the80sweregreat - agreed about the moving. And how on earth did Gray and Chelsea's house get sold in such a short time - it's only been about 3 weeks since it was put up for sale and here we are with the purchase complete!

And Teddy buying no1 within a week or so. It doesn't happen that quickly! There's all sorts of legal bits and searches to do that take weeks.

Phil has been a very good portrayal of an alcoholic, so was Angie. Linda started off good but is a bit over the top now.

I can't stand Reiss or Sonia, such an annoying couple. Her smug look needs wiping off her face, Dot would be so disappointed in her (so would Carol). Has she forgotten about Bex, she's her child so it's not like she was childless and IVF the only way she could have a child. Her taking the ring from Suki was disgusting, she is now just being portrayed as callous and smug. The sooner the both go the better.

Bex hasn't been mentioned for ages and although Sonia missed out on the baby years with her , carrying on like this is out of order !
Yes, it is sad that Linda can't speak to a properly trained therapist about her traumas especially about Keanu. They would be duty bound to tell the police , so she's just left with her thoughts and the bottle as it stands.
Hopefully she will recover in double quick time ( as they do in soaps ) and she can ditch the pink cup of doom.

I also didn’t understand why the baby was at a nursery. They’re not cheap and Lily has nothing to do all day. Silly storyline. How does Cindy see all this thing with Junior playing out once Ian is back? I just don’t think she’d still be cheating on him at her age. The Sonia and Reiss thing is pure cringe. She’s been far too trusting and it’s like Bex has been airbrushed out like she never existed.

Presumably, Lily gets Charley's nursery place funded so she can go to school. It would have to be full-time, or no nurseries would be interested if it was term time (no idea thankfully)
