Tonight gold and white are the ‘In’ colours. There's the obligatory wind machines and pyro. Watch out for dancing surprises cos there's No Rules and a distinct issue with the wardrobe department!

Housekeeping: Out of the other 15 entries, only 10 will go through to the final. The semi-final is TELEVOTE ONLY. The UK, Germany and Sweden will all perform tonight as part of the main show in a change to previous years although they have already automatically qualified for the final.

I didn’t like the Irish song just on listening beforehand. But that staging is insane!

Lord almighty, sorry but that's not music. I'm only in my 30s and that was awful. Just noise, no redeeming qualities at all. Sick of all the satanic imagery in these performances as well. Glad my daughter was upstairs and didn't see that.

The dancing affected her vocals. The rehearsal video was better.

Ireland have given up , clearly.

If only they could get through the actual songs at the same pace they went through the 3 intro songs!!!
