CBeebies bedtime hour

According to the Sky listings, Night Garden is being replaced by 64 Zoo Lane in the CBeebies Bedtime Hour as of this weekend..

Anyone know about this? My DD is not going to be happy.. She says "igglepiggle time" when she wants to get out of her bath!

Course, give it a week and she'll be over it but even so..

I love in the nightgarden. I even watch it alone when the kids are in the bath.

ceebee74 · 27/03/2008 16:49

Oh I hope not - that bedtime hour has been part of DS's bedtime routine for as long as I can remember

Never seen 64 Zoo Lane but can't imagine it is a patch on Igglepiggle and co.

taliac · 27/03/2008 16:55

The listings on the cbeebies site are for last week so thats no help..

Sky has the bedtime hour down as:

6pm Mama Mirabelle
6.15 Charlie & Lola
6.25 Rubbadubbers
6.35 64 Zoo Lane

Well DH will be pleased, he's utterly fed up with Night Garden. Maybe we'll use this as an excuse to turn off and read books instead!

Don't worry ladies 64 Zoo Lane is fantastic! ITs about this little girl who lives next to a zoo and after her mum tucks her in bed a giraffe sticks his head in her window and she slides down into the zoo for adventures!

Its lovely, mine used to watch it on Cbeebies as toddlers so it'll be making me all nostalgic...sob sob.

Bomper · 27/03/2008 18:17

If you have Nick Jr 2, try Little Bear, it is on at 6.30pm and is really calm and soothing. Dd2 (4) loves it - so does Dd1 (8) actually!!!!

katiepea · 27/03/2008 23:30

You can always cheat like I do - Buy a night garden DVD and play it at bed time when convenient after bath time!

nappyaddict · 27/03/2008 23:31

64 zoo lane was what they had before night garden but night garden makes so much more sense to have as part of the bedtime hour.

Phoenix · 27/03/2008 23:47

Oh god i've only just seen this. Ds (2.2) will not be happy at all. He loves ITNG, Iggle Piggle is taking over our house. At least it's still on at 10.30 and 1.30. He really likes Story Makers too

madamez · 27/03/2008 23:50

Oh arse. 64 Zoo Lane is crap. Oh well, someone did give us the ITNG DVD so if DS gets stroppy I have a fallback position.
And at least that means no more fecking Storymakers for a while...

readytoswiggin · 27/03/2008 23:55

I cannot stand zoo lane.

we have a 4hr video recorded from the telly [tight mummy emoticon]

readytoswiggin · 27/03/2008 23:55

the video is night garden btw!

Phoenix · 27/03/2008 23:56

Yeah we've got a dvd too and i'm gonna sky+ tomorrow's to play if we need it.

Phoenix · 27/03/2008 23:59

I've never seen Zoo Lane. I guess I haven't been missing out . Luckily i work til 7 so miss the bed time hour anyway apart from my days off.

Aitch · 28/03/2008 00:05

64 zoo lane is a really good show, madamez and readytoswiggin are drunk.

TalkroundupElf · 28/03/2008 00:10

What's wrong with story makers? I've been on that programme with my charges It's my only claim to fame, so let me have that one

readytoswiggin · 28/03/2008 00:43

Am not drunk!!! Gin currently hidden under dd2's crib for midnight emergencies

Ds loves Mr Maker. frame it, frame it, frame it...

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/03/2008 06:48

I wonder if Sky's schedule is out by an hour because of the clock's changing this weekend?

I do hope so, as dd loves Storymakers even more than ITNG.

DontDreamItBeIt · 28/03/2008 06:58

Sky change their clocks at the same time as the rest of us csws.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/03/2008 07:13

But their systems are often a bit behind the times, honestly!

DontDreamItBeIt · 28/03/2008 07:15

Cbeebies is bbc, though, not sky.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/03/2008 07:57

You up for a fight this morning?
As an example of Sky's wonderful systems, regardless of channel, if I have something set on Sky+ to record at 10pm next Wednesday, when the clocks change it will then say that the programme is on at 11pm, and it will continue saying this, despite the fact that it will actually record it at (the new) 10pm.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/03/2008 08:05

It seems that Radio Times are giving the new schedule as well though, and I'd believe them better than sky, so it looks like it is sadly true .

DontDreamItBeIt · 28/03/2008 08:28

Ah, you see not having Sky means I don't have that problem.

Phoenix · 28/03/2008 10:22

This is from cbeebies website

'CBeebies FAQs (Web & TV)

  • Why is the Bedtime Hour changing? There's a new look coming to the Bedtime Hour, when favourites including Charlie and Lola and Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies will be sending your little ones off to sleep. We have had lots of requests from parents asking for a new line-up of shows to give viewers who only watch at bedtime a chance to see different shows. It's very important that we show a variety of programmes in the Bedtime Hour and In the Night Garden and Story Makers are having a well earned break, but will return in the future. In the meantime, you will still be able to watch In the Night Garden every weekday at 10:30 and 13:30 and Story Makers will return to Discover and Do later in the Spring. The new Bedtime Hour schedule will run every day (including weekends) from this Saturday, 29th March.'
Frizbe · 28/03/2008 21:44

64 Zoo Lane was on at bedtime before ITNG was 1st aired, can anyone remember that far back
