According to the Sky listings, Night Garden is being replaced by 64 Zoo Lane in the CBeebies Bedtime Hour as of this weekend..

Anyone know about this? My DD is not going to be happy.. She says "igglepiggle time" when she wants to get out of her bath!

Course, give it a week and she'll be over it but even so..

Ds does like Charlie and Lola actually and is sat happily watching it but still asking for ITNG every now and again.

OMG where is night garden???!!!! Are the BBC mad, it's the most relaxing show to have on at this time.

Surely the point of INTG is that it is to help calm children down at bedtime, I love it too . I see a snotty e-mail to the BBC coming up............

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 30/03/2008 21:52

If/when story makers comes back it would be good if they could kill off that blue cow

64 Zoo Lane - the theme tune will drive you crackers, one of us will start a thread on how irritating it is within a few days...

Great planning re INTG - on mid morning and after lunch .

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 30/03/2008 22:00

wheres all the presenters gone? Its just Chris,Chris,Chris these days (do LOVE sid and andys rap song though)

Flame · 30/03/2008 22:00

They change the line up every so often - kids cope.

I'm still sulking about the lack of Sue and the other woman though Oh and the wonderful cbeebies day song with the umbrellas

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 30/03/2008 22:02

I'm going to miss ITNG - it's my half hour sit down time with DD and it's so dreamy and easy (and pretty to look at). I can't bear all the other kids tv progs. Maybe this is a sign to ditch evening TV and go back to books (but do I really have to read Little Miss Bossy AGAIN?)

nervousal · 31/03/2008 10:42

thank God they are changing it - sick to death of both ITNG and storymakers! We've been without cbeebies for 2 weeks now (moved house - terrible TV reception) and its been a liberating experience! Believe it or not - kids actually can go to bed without watching this rubbish!

Margo - I can swap you with MrRude??

GooseyLoosey · 31/03/2008 10:49

Thank God! Ds and dd are 3 and 4 and INTG was so repetitive that we gave up on it months ago at their insistance - I now have a stock of recorded things like Jane and the Dragon (ch 5 - which is their favourite) and Little Princess which we watch when wanted. Perhaps I can give up recording them now and free some disc space for me.

Botbot · 31/03/2008 23:11

Does this rescheduling coincide with the release of a new ITNG DVD, do you think?

I don't mind 64 Zoo Lane, but the sappy background music gets on my pip a bit.

Still, it's the excuse I needed to stop DD watching telly in the evenings.

billa · 01/04/2008 20:53

They should change the bedtime hour during the summer months, their singing goodbye sun, hello moon. The sun is still blazing outside and children are playing and eating ice creams.
