Next thread - on we go!!

Harrison seems positively benign compared to Jack. Which is worrying.

I suspect Tori's image of herself as an alpha female won't let her quit.
Which she should for her own wellbeing. I hope her friend calls it out and she listens, I liked her at the wedding.

That dodgy old Tory MP? 😬

Oops have I got his name wrong? 😅He's just John, is he?

dapsnotplimsolls · 25/03/2024 22:05

I hope Tori's friend manages to get her on her own.

Loving the ixpirt at loooong last going for Ben ( yukky wooden acting liar ) Jonno (spineless crawler) and the lobster ( there are not enough words)

At long last Tori seen her media career couple tumbling away from her and The lobster seeing his PT client base leaving in droves.
I’ll not once again repeat myself, about Tristran but he’s never going to be intimate with a woman never mind the gorgeous Cassandra, he fancies old Tim more.
Poor Andrea but to humiliate her just to show off to the guys old Rolf Harris has blown it.

The ixpirts aren't great but at least he called the men out - especially on them all staying silent over the muzzle comment.

I'm getting the feeling here that Tori is here for other reasons apart from just MAFS, she won't back down on staying in the experiment and likes to put her judgmental smug face on, both her and Jack do that. It's almost like acting really.

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 25/03/2024 22:09

Why the hell is no one, especially Alexandra, calling Jack, out for what he said at the men's group section?

dapsnotplimsolls · 25/03/2024 22:12

That is driving me bonkers.

ThirtyThrillionThreeTrees · 25/03/2024 22:22

Other than maybe Michael & Stephen, at least one person in every other couple who needs a friend or family member to tell them to run for the hills.

It's just complete nonsense at this stage.

MzHz · 25/03/2024 22:23

Oh god that end piece! Jack is seriously evil. He gave me the proper heebie jeebies.

I think (hope) that Tori is seeing this man for what he is.

he is VERY bad news

I wonder this as well!
I think Timothy TRIED to bring it up a couple of weeks ago but went about it totally the wrong way. All the men heard it and none are speaking up. Maybe it’s “bro code” maybe some will speak up soon after John called them all out for not speaking up this week!
Jack is totally in control of Tori and is manipulating the whole group. Lauren is the only one with any balls to stand up to him.

Turtonator · 25/03/2024 22:29

I honestly thought the participants were warned off getting involved in order to see if the production team would get more of the Lauren/Jack/Tori rage. To have them called out, the guys specifically, was really quite satisfying.

So much to unpack from tonight.

Tim the Elder telling Lucinda not to speak to him after their sesh on the couch! Jeez! Sulky fecker. Honestly, Lucinda at the start of this wouldn't have stood for any of that crap, what the heck has happened to her self esteem?

Ben and his eyeroll at being called fake. Tristan knows he's punching above his weight and wants an easy out, he's not going to allow himself to fall for Cass and get a battering. Richard getting the cold shoulder after boasting about his sexual prowess (shudder). Tori is like a wet paper bag, it had to be presented to her in a dozen different ways that Jack talking in that way about someone he's supposed to care about is just horrible, disrespectful and rude, not bantz.

I may have to watch it again.

TheGhostOfKatesProlapse · 25/03/2024 22:45

Agree with the comments about all of the men (not seen enough of the new couples admittedly) being wet lettuce and more into backing bro's than their wives. Jono is obvious about it, but Tris with Tim even - he's not talking to him about how to move forward, just blowing smoke. All of the men staying silent at the dinner party about the muzzle comment and then again not coming forward to say Jack said it to ALL of them at the session...they've decided somewhere along the line that the men are more important. The only couple I hold a modicum of hope for is Eden and best friend shagger. Dire men.

Loved the ixperts holding feet to the fire, although I still feel they were a bit more detailed with Harrison last year. Lauren was left to defend her opinion she was left for a long while and although they nodded and John said he wouldn't have had that said to his wife, she looked like she was shaking and had been explaining herself and opinion even on the couch. I think she let Jono off quite easily in the end too, and had expected her to be a bit more "you'd better step up or i'm out".

Ben is so creepy and I'm glad she's seen through it - wish she had given examples though. He's fake as hell and has terrible taste in shirts.

Anyone else want to peel the label from the bottom of Mel's shoe? I could see she really dislikes Jack. I think she must be worried about how Tori is somehow green flagging her "dark humour" and wondering what has happened to her to make her not inspect anything Jack says to her. I really think she thinks being an alpha woman is just sticking to your story no matter what. It's a very 2D life.

WhisperGold · 25/03/2024 22:53

I thought Jack said he had no sexual spark with Tori at the group session. Which he admits to.
He denies that means he's not attracted to her.

browneyes77 · 25/03/2024 23:26

I’m still wondering if Jack has dirt on Jonno (I think maybe he fancies Ellie) and that’s why Jonno is kissing Jack’s ass so much, because he doesn’t want that exposed.

The floundering at the dinner party when Jack challenged him, the bigging up Jack at the commitment ceremony/couch session. He seemed to want to try and please Jack and keep him sweet, whilst also ‘supposedly’ acknowledging he hadn’t backed up Lauren.

His behaviour is sketchy and is making me think that he has something to hide and is scared Jack is going to reveal it.

Torturedsoul · 25/03/2024 23:35

@browneyes77 that's still my rationale too. There is no way that Jono is that spineless for no reason surely?

Italiangreyhound · 25/03/2024 23:38

Horrible how Jack was smirking when Jono backed down. Poor Lauren she looked so upset.

TinselAngel · 25/03/2024 23:40

dapsnotplimsolls · 25/03/2024 20:43

I really want Alessandra to say 'Actually Jack, you said at my session that you're not attracted to Tori'.

I can only assume it was Chatham House rules at that session.

He denies that means he's not attracted to her.

But only Tim and Jono have even mentioned it - if the rest had piped up and said he had told the whole group I don't think Tori would be able to brush it off, esp when followed by the offering her on a platter.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 26/03/2024 00:00

Pretty much all the men this year are wet lettuces, they are a whole bag of florette.

I’m disappointed in Tori presenting herself as a strong independent woman and within a few weeks she’s sold her soul for a lobster with a personality transplant who is decorating the flat with red bunting at every opportunity.

Looking forward to young Tim’s friends instigating a #freeTim movement in front of Sara next time.

Umanresources · 26/03/2024 02:03

Just caught up with this. Ugh the end bit on the couch. Noticed Jack doesn’t have earlobes and didn’t like his controlling hands.

murasaki · 25/03/2024 20:13

Good on Andi for saying that. He has been OTT in trying to show the younger men how much he's getting it up. It's pathetic and demeaning, as she says.

Yes I've thought so from the beginning. Yes it's a show and they're following a process/script but he needs to remember, when he's bragging, that she's a person in her own right, and a bit of discretion regarding her privacy good manners is called for. I can't think she'll want her children or other close family to be mentally right there in bed with them. He seemed to be blaming her for "walls" she's put up without taking responsibility for this. I'm surprised the experts, especially the women, didn't mark on that and, instead, say to Andrea "this is on you". 🌹

dapsnotplimsolls · 25/03/2024 20:43

Yes! I've been waiting for her to say that!! He said it as clear as day. I'm glad the ghastly comment about whoever gets Tori at the swap can sleep with her was brought up by the experts though. Whatever she says that seemed to have got through to Tori a bit - but she's still just hanging in there. Sad that she doesn't have more respect for herself. 🌹

StuffLoriThangs · 26/03/2024 06:30

Tori is just having whatever reaction she thinks people want to hear. She was pushed on the couch to say that she felt sick by the comment. I don’t think she actually cares

Bluetrews25 · 26/03/2024 07:20

Thinking about it, Tori's slowness to respond when questioned and having things pointed out to her reminded me of a (bad) politician trying to figure out how to toe the party line and still acknowledge what had been said. So a totally false representation of what she really thinks. In case her boss (Jack) demoted her to the back benches or sacks her.

MagpiePi · 26/03/2024 07:50

I am hoping that the penny is starting to drop, or at least is teetering on the edge, for Tori. Her body language after they’d been on the couch was telling - totally turned away from him. There is no way he told her about wanting to pimp her out and they had a good laugh about it. She is just making herself look stupid by defending his lies.

Him trying to justify himself about finding her physically attractive but not sexually attractive was laughable and she must be having doubts.

The scene at the end was very disturbing.
