There was an interesting discussionon one of the podcasts about how children of traumatised childhoods often try to recreate the situation and 'fix it' with a positive outcome at al costs

So Tori's Father may be a similar person to Jack and she's determined to not give up and 'do better' than her own mother.

I think Tristan is quite likely neurodiverse, and I didn’t get that sense from Collins.
He needs a lot of support from the experts, and they’re just not there to give it.
