DH was in the room while I was watching yesterday (he doesn’t watch it normally) and said: is that man meant to be the father of those embryos? why is that woman trying to have a baby with a man she clearly can’t stand even talking to and who seems to really piss her off?

Even with no experience of IVF or Fets I couldn’t understand how the sequence of events could be right. Let’s thaw an embryo without checking if she is ready to accept it or even in the bloody country

I have learnt about a new place though. I had no idea about the National trust house in Kent or its history so that was good .
Reiss is annoying , but his little history lessons are interesting. I wouldn't have a baby with him though ! 😂

what did Sonia mean when she said the embryo survived the thaw? Did she mean that they hadnt expected it to, or that it had thawed by accident?

Both Sonia and Reiss are annoying ( apart from his little history lessons)
Reiss , because he using his wife's money to fund it ( who has been forgotten about in her care home place :( and is just too pedantic about it all.
Sonia because she is never at work! Ok , maybe nurses who work in a GP practice don't work on bank holidays, but she is never there at any other times either , her uniform is too short and she doesn't even seem to like Reiss much herself! It's sad she is having trouble with her treatment , but maybe she should try to reconnect with Bex instead or something? Plus the IVF information is completely wrong too it seems !
she has been to the same eyebrow place as Sharon I thought yesterday ! (They didn't look as bad though.)

@Twonewcats when embryos thaw they can disintegrate.

They are tiny . Like smaller then a freckle

And can be anything from 15mins to 30mins

And bloody amazing to think a sperm has been injected into the egg (icsi) and then develops - blasts and then put up a tube into cervix and implanted

But they would never ever thaw one till know at the clinic as don't have a long life span once defrosted - less than an hour

Well yes that's what medication and scans are for. To check the sodding lining to make sure it's thick enough BEFORE thaw the embryo

So Dean steals the charity money. The grand total of about £1500. That’s going to go a long way in paying for his new life in Pakistan. Half of it will be the air fare

Thank you for explaining. I hadn't been sure why they'd changed plans at the last minute, as if it had all been a mistake/accident. It made no sense to me, but it seems I'm not the only one 😅

Me too! I actually thought he was considering accepting the offer for a split second. Better than nicking £1k odd quid from Jade's CF charity fundraiser ffs.

Must say though, credit where credit's due: I loved the way at the end of tonight's the camera moved sideways/horizontally (whatever the correct filming term is) across the 6 women and showed them spending time with their loved ones. Very clever imho!

The ending was very good tonight, a bit different.
I know some on here don't like her or rate her much, but I think that Stacey is a fab soap actress and very convincing. It can't always be easy playing out quite unrealistic plots at times !
Sharon reading the Easter story to Albie just as the floor caved in by Jack was clever.
