Surfing? I'm not sure doing the newer Olympic sports strikes the same resonance.

I can’t decide it’s because they’re chefs and they don’t have time/inclination to watch Olympics and haven’t twigged we have tons of Olympic medalists from the last 20 years to celebrate - people the audience will have heard of

or whther the bbc havd told them to focus on the newer more obscure sports/people

EsmaCannonball · 13/03/2024 20:09

Ben looks like top dog on D Wing in Wormwood Scrubs but sounds like Rishi Sunak making a particularly dull speech.

jay55 · 13/03/2024 20:10

Evening. Am late.
Anything exciting happen?

EsmaCannonball · 13/03/2024 20:11

Here's the cute deer whose hearts you will be self-charcuterie-ing.

Do I even want to ask…?

What does the venison have to do with the brief. The others have ingredients that relate to surfing or Greece. We might be a bit sick of the Greek stuff but at the banquet it will only be one dish.

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:12

Haha Ben is dull tbf

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:13

I thought she was deceased MIL

EsmaCannonball · 13/03/2024 20:15

Ben is carefully decorating his whats?

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:15

Mikes meat looks excellent

jay55 · 13/03/2024 20:16

This group are doing much better at banquet style dishes.
Sounds like there will be a good heft to these dishes.

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:16

That belly of pork. Perfect

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/03/2024 20:17

That looks fab

jay55 · 13/03/2024 20:18

What did the yoghurt do to deserve hanging?

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:18

This 3 should go through and ditch the 2 from last week

EsmaCannonball · 13/03/2024 20:18

The lamb looks cooked! He must have sacrificed it to Hera personally.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/03/2024 20:19

5? Is that reverse psychology?

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:19

5 ☹️

EsmaCannonball · 13/03/2024 20:20

jay55 · 13/03/2024 20:18

What did the yoghurt do to deserve hanging?

I'm envisaging a gibbet on Exmoor.

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:20

Here comes the heart

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/03/2024 20:21

Link to the brief seems tenuous again but Tom disagreed yesterday

littlbrowndog · 13/03/2024 20:21

Yeah a photo does not cut it as a link

Pastachocolate · 13/03/2024 20:21

Ah running deer - that’s where the venison came in. He genuinely seems unhappy rather than a ploy.

EsmaCannonball · 13/03/2024 20:22

I've just looked up the running deer event. Thankfully, they didn't use actual deer.

The portions on Ellie's dish seem a bit dainty for the main course.
