I binged the lot and loved it, anyone else watched it already?

It made me laugh and I bawled my eyes out at the end.

I was surprised to see such scathing reviews as I enjoyed it loads, some bits were nonsense but it wasn't a documentary so I let that go.

I'm surprised no-one's commented on the really clunky "dying of a broken heart" metaphor.

It wasn't really a metaphor. It was, um, coincidental but his condition was previously explained, so that situation wasn't entirely impossible but happened to coincide with her death.

2 episodes in and I’m done. If anyone behaved in real life like either of them did in the first episode after only one date, it would be said to be red flags all over the place.
Also why would someone dying at a funeral make the TV news? With camera footage and everything?

Yes that was definitely ridiculous!

Haha yes that funeral on tv thing was the strangest plot device ever.

I know his condition was previously explained, but I still think we were meant to take away that his heart was literally and metaphorically "broken". It would be in keeping with other clunky bits of the plot/script.

Did anyone work out that Celia Jack's daughter name is an anagram of Alice? I realised when little Celia was playing with the blocks in the hotel room at Alice's wedding but it was never mentioned. So did he name his daughter with another woman after the woman he really loved or was it just completely co -incidental. I thought it was going to become a big plot line in the story but was hinted at with the blocks but never mentioned again.
