I definitely remember this woman from Casualty.
The charity thing is very boring- and seems a very dull storyline considering they must have known things were coming to an end by this point.

Unless they have a big name guest star lined up for it. Well, a big name for Doctors. Like the surviving Chuckle brother or someone.

So a clothes shopping trip means 'the one shop on the highstreet that doubles as the charity shop and the boutique as needed'.
