Well Matthew’s departure wasn’t as dramatic as some of us thought it would be !! Unless they have a plane crash or cab crash in NY

That was a quick departure.

You can't scoop out a turnip with a spoon! In 1965 I was in what we now call year 6, we had to take a kitchen knife to school and used them to make turnip lanterns. Health and Safety would have a nightmare now.

Trixie should have just got an annulment on fraud grounds or something.

It is still done in Switzerland a bit after halloween and the children parade their lanterns at night. Very much a peeler, sharp knife and cookie cutter job but the inside can be soft enough for scraping with a strong spoon.

So Matthew is going to look after Jonty all by himself while starting a new job. When two weeks ago he couldn't watch him for 5 minutes.

Also Jonty was reading a comic this week and two weeks ago was squalling like a newborn.

NYC summers are hot. Imagine how sweaty Matthew is going to be.

And why have Joyce have such a background?
Plus an abandoned wife... and an abusive stepfather...

This used to be about babies (of which there were two this week at least...) but its just bizarre now.

Plus the credits make it look like trixie is spiralling again.
And S MJ is going to be a pain in the neck.

(And why isn't Shelagh a Brownie leader by now with two girls, plus Colette, to go alongside those Cubs?)

This weeks episode was thoroughly depressing! I wish SMJ would die already, it's boring! Where has the information about the actor playing Matthew is leaving come from?
