I think if the two traitors win it will be fun to see whether they share or steal. They might end up with nothing.

They'd play differently, though. They'd play to the camera more and have more of a mind on their publicity careers. If the US S1 was anything to go by, they're also likely to be whinier!

If it goes down to split or steal between Harry and Andrew, obviously they'll both steal. Even if one of them does this, they'll both steal.

A really annoying website (lots of jumpy ads etc) but some good info for those who have asked questions about how the show is filmed, where the contestants sleep, where they can go in the castle, how they receive the murder letter in the room with the yellow chair etc etc.

Is Ross Diane’s youngest? To me she seems to baby him.

Is there any indication they'll do 'Split or Steal'? I thin they've stated the rules now, so it'd be hard to go back on 'any traitors left when the game stops win'

Same! I'm sure it wasn't any fun for him to see his mum lying in a coffin but come on - it's a game! Although I really wasn't a fan of Diane so maybe that's clouding my judgement too

Why does nobody realise that the editors have had a field day of fun editing out HOURS of footage to make us think first one way, then the other?

This bit from the Daily Record article made me laugh:

It makes sense that players actually get the ‘murder’ letter in the morning.

It doesn’t say when they actually film the bits with the traitors plotting together in the turret? Do they actually go back to the castle at night… or is it filmed before they go down for breakfast in the morning, then they edit with dark night-time shots between scenes.

I would also love to know this. Also, when they return from missions wet/all covered in mud they appear to run up the castle stairs to have a shower, so there must be bathroom facilities in there even if they sleep 45 minutes away in a Travelodge

I've got no insider knowledge but my guess is that the turret room is just a set that's built near the hotel they stay at overnight. That way they can all drive back with everyone else but still "meet" before bedtime so they are in the same clothes as that day, etc.

It's tiny and very weird and looks not like a real room to me!

Why, after over 20 years of reality TV, do people still pop up who think we don't realise this?

I am wondering slightly if the "endgame" will play out in the same way as S1 or not.

Maybe the rules will be totally different this time?

Remember Claudia getting them to line up on day 1 and then saying "you think you know how this game will go - you don't"?

It'll be really interesting if they change up the rules for this final! I hope they do!

Re the US version being “celebs”, they’re all Z-listers if the 1st season is anything go to go by - think Big Brother winners and Real Housewives!

The second US series randomly has Jon Bercow and Ekin’Su in it as well!

@WoolyMammoth55 it might not even be a real room. It's possible that every contestant has a yellow armchair in their hotel room with a green screen or even virtual background and they record these videos on their own time. There are probably a few "turret rooms" in different locations around the set too.

Going by that article it sounds like the "diary room" is in the castle (where murdered players learn their fate on arrival in the morning). Players who receive a recruitment letter are also filmed in the diary room, and - when they accept - go to meet the traitors in the turret straight away. So it seems to me that everything is filmed at the castle? Do they film the traitors' turret at night or in the morning?

The US is a massive country - how can they not have enough Z listers of their own and need to borrow ours?

I thought if any traitors are left at the end they shared the money.

There will be no need to do a split or steal. The fact that there has been a murder last night means there is still at least one traitor left. So the faithful will have to keep going until they banish either Harry or Andrew. At that point there will be only one traitor left and he just needs to persuade the faithful to agree to end the game.

Unless the last traitor is given an option to have a last minute recruitment. Then the traitor has to choose between going it solo hoping for the entire pot or getting a second traitor to throw under the bus but if it goes wrong you only get half the pot even if you win.
