Oh yay! I love the Great British Menu!

I’m sure we always used to get a bit of advance warning, so it’s taken me by surprise tonight! Even had to check on BBC iPlayer that it wasn’t a repeat 🤭 Anyway, it says inspiration is the olympics and paralympics, expecting some tenuous sporting links… 😂

I'm thinking of my mother's Fanny Cradock-esque cookbooks, where there'd always be some kind of party food recipe that involved pastry rowing boats with blobs of something for the crew and crudités for the oars.
