I want to line up some good series to binge in January.
We loved Sopranos and more recently Ozark and Succession

What would you recommend?

Animal Kingdom on Amazon Prime is a MUST watch. bingeworthy is a perfect description.

milkysmum · 28/12/2023 13:42

If you haven't watched Breaking Bad and Better call Saul, definitely these.

milkysmum · 28/12/2023 13:43

I've also just binge watched Into The Night which was pretty good.

MuttsNutts · 28/12/2023 13:45

Kin on BBC iPlayer.

jellytots18 · 28/12/2023 13:45

I started Maid on Netflix yesterday and I'm on episode 7 😀 so it's safe to say I like it

The Aussie movie? That was amazing, reminds me to rewatch it!

evtheria · 28/12/2023 13:59

An oldish one, but it really was a 'must binge' for me and DP: Bad Sisters on Apple.

SprogTakesAQuarry · 28/12/2023 14:05

Agree that Bad Sisters is incredible so would def recommend that. Most of my suggestions are either a bit old or v popular so apologies if you’ve seen them already.

Blue Lights on BBC - awesome police drama set in Belfast. One of my favourites of this year

The White Lotus series are super bingeable.

Mare of Easttown is brilliant if you haven’t seen that already.

The Bear - Series 1 is my favourite tv of all time.

This is a series based on the auzzie film and it's INCREDIBLE! I'd highly recommend it.

beguilingeyes · 28/12/2023 14:11

Definitely Slow Horses. It's phenomenal.
The Queen's Gambit
Reacher
The West Wing?

Ilovegoldies · 28/12/2023 14:25

I have just binge watched Bad Sisters. Absolutely incredible.

JAPB79 · 28/12/2023 14:27

1883 and 1923. The prequels to Yellowstone, both on Paramount.

Narcos on Netflix.

The Sopranos is my favourite series ever.

CrossPurposes · 28/12/2023 16:09

Babylon Berlin. Subtitled German drama set in Weimar Germany which is utterly gripping and the two leads are both gorgeous.

The Man in the High Castle. Alternative reality science fiction set in America in which Germany and Japan won the war. Rufus Sewell and Chelah Horsdal are so good.

Picklemeyellow · 28/12/2023 16:19

I second The Affair, still my favourite tv series and I watched that some time ago.
Maid is also really good.

JenaWren · 28/12/2023 16:27

YY to Slow Horses.

And Catastrophe.

MalcolmTuckersDisdainfulSneer · 28/12/2023 16:41

I'm really enjoying The Gilded Age (Julian Fellowes period drama set in America in the 1880s) and rewatching Modern Family as there is a new series out next month

MabelMoo23 · 28/12/2023 16:42

It’s not started yet but True Detective, Night Country with Jodie Foster starts on Sky Altantic on 15th Jan and looks fantastic - it’s set in Alaska

scanmatrix · 28/12/2023 16:43

Mrs America
