I want to line up some good series to binge in January.
We loved Sopranos and more recently Ozark and Succession

What would you recommend?

The Tourist

To those asking about Sopranos; sorry, we didn't actually watch it recently. Just mentioned it as an example of the kind of shows we like!

We are going to start with Animal Kingdom followed by Fellow Travellers. Both look excellent!!

Shrinking on Apple TV is fab.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm determined to reduce my phone time and think an hr of a series is time well spent.

I've just added 5 series on to my lists which will keep me going for a while.

Fellow Travelers is really good, I have nearly finished it now

Poker Face on Sky is more episodic than the big classics but it's really good - comedic detective stuff by the guy who did Knives Out.

Game of Thrones is the ultimate in big big drama if you still haven't seen it.
Ditto Breaking Bad.

Check whether you can get 6 months free on Apple TV (free if you've bought an Apple device recently or if you have EE mobile) and binge For All Mankind, Slow Horses and Ted Lasso.

The Sopranos is still on Now TV (so presumably on Sky too). We are currently half way through the final season, having missed it when it was originally aired. I can confirm that it has great acting and it's pretty funny really although more violent than I really like, but that's not surprising considering the subject matter.

James Gandolfini (RIP) was great in the main role. You end up rooting for him, which is clever because really they're all murderous greedy thugs. Yet they think of themselves as soldiers and they think they're living by a moral code. And the wives and girlfriends are all complicit, for all their care for family members, involvement with the church etc. They know what is happening, pretty much.

Please no spoilers anybody!

That was to @usernother .

I'd also recommend Penny Dreadful on Now (Gothic Horror, with Eva Green) and Severance on Apple is a quirky and brilliant dystopian drama, can't wait for Season 2.
