I really don't know what to make of it. It's Labyrinth meets Star Wars meets musical.

Loving the new doctor, liked him in sex education as well. Bit of a weird storyline though!

Horribly Disney-esque. Hopeful that this is because it’s the Christmas special and not a sign of things to come.

I find a lot of the homes in BBC TV shows a bit too vast abd glossy and not believable for the characters in the shows.

I'm not massively into Dr Who, but it seems very different to what has come before.

I thought that was fabulous! When he said at the end I'm the Doctor I thought Yes, you abso-fucking-lutely are!
The only bit I didn't like was at the end of the series trailer it said we have to wait until May! 😫
It feels like proper Who is back, and we can all forget the regrettable Jodie era.

First episode of Dr Who that we have ever seen, not sure on the musical scene but it kept our attention. I wonder if it's worth binge watching past series'?

Loved Ncuti as the doctor, but the plot was disappointing. I was expecting a clever twist, it was just boring.

Also there seemed to be attraction between the doctor and Ruby, but then he kisses her as a baby like a father figure - it felt a bit odd.

I do really like Ncuti and the vibe of the Doctor having fun rather than being angsty… but I hope the plots in future episodes have a bit more intrigue and emotional depth. Guess you can’t judge it too much on a Christmas special. I also much prefer it when the companion isn’t crushing on the Doctor so fingers crossed they don’t take it too much in that direction!

Who was the older woman neighbour? Has she been in previous series at all?
