The ' special music' is called Julia's theme
One of the very first producers was called Julia so they tweaked the title music for goodbyes
I found it sad at the end of Dots funeral.

Why can't EE employ teenage actors? Is there a shortage of them or something because the actress playing 14 year old age looks closer to 30 than she does 15.

I was wondering that too re teenage actors. And did Stacey and everyone else who remembered Jade was that just because of her CF tube or did they recognise her? I can’t recall if similar has happened, eg do they recognise other long lost actors.

Found it nice but strange with Gina and Jade. So they bonded but when Gina dropped her to Beales Eels she barely talked to her apart from giving her the bracelet. And would Jade’s DM really be ok with her daughter being so young to go and live with Dean who she barely knows?

I like Sharon, mostly because I've watched her ' journey ' from day one !
She belongs with Phil tbh. I feel Kat and him are very temporary.

Oh I get why she felt awkward with Dean and was strange with Jade.

To be honest it seems a bit forced and not quite there… to me!

Jade turns up but is immediately given a warm welcome even though everyone knows who her dad is! And why is her mum letting her travel (shouldn’t she be in school?!) by herself with CF? It would’ve been nice to have seen Shabnam at least if only for a cameo visit to drop her daughter off to Dean!

Oh I do like Sharon and I’ve watched her from day one like you @the80sweregreat . I suppose it’s her character which doesn’t gel with me, she’s like Teflon and everything sticks!

I agree with you that she’s Phil’s soul mate though. Not Keanu’s. But Dennis came a close second.

See in my posts here and with this. Enders seems very willing to stretch the truth, things that most normal mortals would run a mile from or people then they do it! I guess it makes for good telly watching but it seems so unlikely at times!

I think after the complaints they’d be foolish to do a fling story but maybe he will try and attack her and he’ll be hounded out of the square? Or he gets murdered.

Dean played the recording in today’s episode. I think Elaine got an easy ride from Linda and George - it was her idea for Linda to tell Dean what he wanted to hear.

There’s been complaints about this story so I did think they’d change it at the last minute, then again I suppose it would have been a headache from a logistical perspective.

I definitely think the storyline is worth all the complaints, the further it goes and the more cruelty we see the more gratuitous it feels on the part of the scriptwriters. I know Eastenders tries to raise awareness about sensitive issues like rape and domestic abuse but sometimes it’s so extreme that it feels like just mining misery for entertainment. The plot of the 6 definitely feels that way since there’s a gender based element to the abuse of all the victims.
