We didn't start watching till 2017.
Who beat Danny Mac to the Glitterball?

That was the year Ore Oduba won with Joanne Clifton. I think he got 40 for the samba and the salsa.

Danny was a terrible ringer but his American Smooth is one of my all time favourite dances.

Definitely wouldn't be in favour of any casting criteria that would have robbed us of Jill Halfpenny, Denise Lewis, Alesha Dixon, Jay McGuinness, Frankie Bridge, Faye Tozer, Tom Chambers, Rachel Stevens, Denise van Outen, Debbie McGee, Caroline Flack and all the other ringers of various flavours who've given us some amazing dances.

Ooh yeah when Oti jumped and Danny caught her gives me goosebumps.

I was rooting for Claudia Fragapane that year, and wasn't fussed about Ore, but he was great in the final. Loved his showdance.

Yes, Ore got better, didn't he. His final was excellent.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience for the Proud Mary jive - it was completely amazing!

Alexandra had total star quality. I have no memory at all of what Joe danced that night. She was so robbed!

I always find the semi-final to be better than the final itself.

I will NEVER get over Danny not winning - didn’t help that I never warmed to Joanne Clifton as a pro: can’t quite put my finger on why but she leaves me completely cold. So for her to win that year instead of Danny and Oti rubbed salt into the wound. And all that bloody Gene Kelly’s widow nonsense!

I wish Monkseal was still blogging - would love to know what he makes of it all this year.

Would love Nigel to win but don’t think he will so fingers crossed for Ellie. At this stage, I’m more or less Team Anyonebutlayton…

Danny was robbed that year, I rewatch his dances every year, just magical.

I can't even remember who else was competing the year Bill and Oti won.

It was Maisie Smith, Jamie Laing and HRVY in the final.

That was also the year Jamie Baron con biscuits got to the semis with Karen (I think)
