I don't believe in ghosts. But this is BBC2, not Channel 5 or the usual channels which run this type of crap. So I'm watching. Anyone else?

I find his appearance altogether a bit distracting. Something of the Cliff Richard/90s indie band that never made it/giant mini-Boden model about him. Uncanny indeed.

I hear he speaks very highly of me, of course.

WitchyFingers2 · 23/10/2023 13:02

He's actually from the North East but has no discernable northern accent. As a northerner myself I find that highly suspect 🤔 I've lived down south for years but still have my accent, Where's his gone? Thats what I want to know.

I think he’s got a slightly unfortunate face for this sort of TV programme. He looks like he’s smiling while people are describing terrifying supernatural (allegedly) experiences.

Haha, i really like him but I have noticed that! Seens to be grinning as they reveal painful experiences for the first time!

Has anyone seen the pictures from the Ghost That Followed Us Home podcast episode? They are so fricking creepy I can't get them out of my head!

Here’s the account from the previous family that lived in the house:

I watched this but this link didn't work

It was creepy

stillthinking22 · 25/10/2023 21:07

Only watched the first one tonight but loved it

Dotcheck · 26/10/2023 00:05

Thanks @stillthinking22

Not sure why I opened it 🙁

That episode is definitely the most convincing. On the plus side, they think she is a friendly ghost 😬

I just thought it was a really scruffy cat....😳

I saw this at the time the poster earlier on the thread posted it. The site has obviously removed it because it was quite obvious a) where the house was and b) that there'd been some plumping up of the narrative for the show. Been asked to take it down by the programme? Bit naughty if so.

greengreengrass25 · 26/10/2023 19:10

Thanks

I had a feeling this was the reason

Shame, I would have liked to have read it.

Cropcycle · 26/10/2023 22:17

Looks like my long haired black cat after a particularly raucous night on the tiles

It could be a toddler with the negative filter on

Duckswaddle · 27/10/2023 07:20

Yeah he confirmed at the live show that those ghost photos were in fact a child messing around with the phone in the back of a car.

I'm so relieved! Haha 😂 What about the footprint one though?

Lalgarh · 27/10/2023 21:39

Ok. Episode 3. The mist in the Oxford student house. It is quite a marshy area and I remember seeing mist and thinking it spooky

LunaNorth · 27/10/2023 21:49

Toddy would remember the two girls freaking out after he woke up, surely?

the80sweregreat · 27/10/2023 22:22

Toddy seemed odd to me , as if he found it all one big joke tbh. I find it hard to believe he couldn't remember much when it was all so bizarre

sugarapplelane · 27/10/2023 22:45

I remember Danny do stand up comedy at uni back in the 90’s so I had to tune in really.
Loved it and the first episode about Miss Howard proper petrified me.
Shame they’re only doing 3 episodes but maybe they’re waiting to see how popular it was before commissioning a further series

Cropcycle · 27/10/2023 23:14

Tonight’s felt more easy to explain to me. Possible hallucinations being experienced by one person and hysteria/fear, picked up by the others. All very religious and academic, so primed to interpret anything out of the ordinary with a theologically based reason - demons, evil, possession. Also agree with infrasound as probable main cause of phenomena. Which would explain why the other couple interviewed also experienced strange feelings there.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 27/10/2023 23:49

Pebble21uk · 21/10/2023 22:13

With the levitating, I couldn't understand why when he touched his sister and that made him drop back onto the bed, why that didn't wake her? He said he then shook his sister awake... surely dropping from a height back on to a bed would wake the person next to you!

Yes, I had a problem with this. So the two of them had already had a supposed supernatural experience, yet the sister was sleeping soundly next to him. If it was so terrifying wouldn't they be lying awake all night terrified? Secondly, if he was floating above the bed where were the sheets/duvet? If my DH so much as rolls over and pulls a bit of quilt with him it wakes me up. I'm pretty sure if I'd had a supernatural experience the same night I would have been feeling any movement in my bed.

I also can't understand the reason they stayed in the house and the daughter even moved in with her own daughter later.
