It could easily be “Musicals Week” this week. Don’t see the point of having both Musicals and Movie weeks when they’re essentially the same.

I think Amanda has the potential to be really lovely in rumba, so I'm a bit disappointed that she's having to do it so early in the run. It could be even better later on. Didn't rumba (like AT) used to be kept for a while until they'd got some of the techniques down?

Angela S is doing the Charleston. With her Irish dancing experience, if Craig isn't satisfied with the amount of swivel for once I'll be very surprised!

I'm pretty sure it's just "Money", or "The Money Song" in Cabaret. ABBA is "Money, Money, Money", so we seem to be getting some sort of average of the two. Grin

Thing is, Charleston's already been done to it as well (Natalie and Tim Wonnacott) so am not sure why they are insisting on a retread.

Looking forward to Amanda's Rumba and Annabel's waltz, think these should suit them. Decent tunes too.

Really hope Jody and Krishnan do well this week and stay in - they both have potential to improve. Jody has a fab teacher in Jowita and Krishnan does have rhythm and fun about him!

Poor Nikita would in actual fact have been better dressed as Sonic the hedgehog or Tails because Clueless won't be as memorable. She needs a bottom 2 bounce. Emma and Aljaz's jive to Kids in America wasn't that well received.

I'm also gutted that neither Nikita nor Krishnan have gone for a Bollywood number - no, not Jai Ho - I'd have loved to have seen a Bollywood/Bangra routine.

It'd be a bit of a cliché for a British Indian person to be the one to do a Bollywood number.
Although I'd like to see more Bollywood/Bhangra in Strictly in general.

Yes, the Cabaret song IS just called Money, isn't it?!

I should have added The Lion King to my previous list of overused films and musicals. Can't (or perhaps can) believe we got two Lion King dances last year.

Looking forward to Amanda and Giovanni's rumba. Katya should be able to get some amazing tricks into the Batman dance.

Think it's a mistake to use Money Money after Joe and Katya's amazing samba but I'm sure how much choice they are given over the music.

IIRC, there is a film version of the television incarnation of Batman. I seem to recall it involving a giant plastic shark. I only like the Adam West Batman, the other versions being a bit too po-faced.

I never really remember who danced to what song when, so I don't really care if it's used and reused. I just enjoy the different performances each year.

I do however agree that Movie Week then Musicals Week is too much and they should pick one or the other to stay and drop one.

Keep musicals week and replace movie week with ballroom week... one day it will happen.

Watching ITT for the first time in ages.

Fleur's definitely changed shape since last season - and trying to hide it, judging by the vertical stripes. Pregnant, maybe?

In the video clip we saw Shirley praising Nikita for giving it 1000%, Nikita then said she was giving it 150% and ended by saying a minute later, she's giving it 100%... so she's giving up already. That's a shame :)

Yes, I didn't like to say, but I saw the trailer for ITT (I rarely watch it) and thought blimey she's put a lot of weight on. Hadn't thought she might be pregnant. Motsi seems thinner this year.

I meanwhile continue to rock the heffalump look from behind my bag of Tyrells crisps. The one sized like a binbag. 😁

Yes, Fleur is a very attractive woman but I just don't like the styling on ITT. She's quite a good presenter and has a good manner, though.

i like Fleur's look but it's a huge difference from Janette's ultra glam look.
