Wasn't everyone a bit 💥about Will Mellor last year though (cant recall which dance it was, bit it was quite sexy?) Similar situation this year with Nigel maybe?

I didn't know Amanda before Strictly, but I've warmed to her. She seems very hardworking. Leyton is very obviously a ringer. Really liked Ellie too. Missed the first few.

Nikita has morphed from Leonardo Di Caprio to George Michael.

Interesting that apart from Les, the oldies mostly did better than the hot young things like Zara and Nikita.

I'm all about Angela and Kai. The camp! The drama! That was the nearest we'll ever get to a mature Joan Crawford and a young Rock Hudson appearing on Strictly and it was everything I love.

I think we've only ever been able to vote in Week 2. It would make the show very long but maybe I have misremembered this.

I thought the standard was surprisingly high and there are quite a few couples I'll be supporting. Annabel Croft always looks wonderful at Wimbledon but I didnt expect her to be so good.

Yes @YeOldeBuxomWench We all thought Will would win after his first sexy jive, but he fizzled out. I guess Amanda or Ellie is in with a chance.

Right, here we go. Far too many dancers to remember who did what whenever the programme started 25 years show!

Main thoughts:

Ellie - very good
Angela & Annabel - classy and should give good ballroom
Amanda - definite dark horse
Nigel - did not expect that, he looked a tad embarrassed!

Disappointed by Nikita and Zara but prepared to give them another chance based on their nerves.

Not surprised by Les, bless him, and suspect he’ll be first out.

Will was very unwell towards the end of the series.

I like so many couples this year it's easier to say my least favourites which are Zara and Nikita. Les was also rubbish but I liked his character

I only saw a bit of it tonight. I'll watch the later dances on catch-up. My internet is playing up so gave up when Layton's dance kept buffering. I was pleased that Angela Scanlon was not too bad as I love her and want her to hang around.

I honestly love Katyas choreo so much. She has created so many memorable routines.

That was a beautiful dance but I think the public might not take to her for similar reasons to Caroline Quentin.

But Caroline couldn’t dance like Amanda.

I think it will also depend how her partnership with Joe Varney works out.

Seriously, what do people see in him? He’s like Nigel, Head of Maths Dept.

But that dance! That Paso would have scored 10 in week six for a contestant on a journey. I generally find Pasos on Strictly tedious and overblown. But that was fantastic.

Did anyone else notice the envious looks on the faces of the other female pro dancers when Katya and Nigel were talking to Claudia? I mean, if I was a pro, I’d love to be paired with someone who could dance like that.

I also loved Annabelle - I’m a similar age and remember her from her playing days - she is so elegant. I enjoyed Angela Rippon - what flexibility!!! And Angela Scanlon, cheering for the Irish girl! Finally, I loved Bobby, but I would prefer him to have been paired with Lauren or Karen or Jowita - as he is too tall for Diane.
