All caught up now was away over the weekend. I am so jealous of Angela Rippon’s legs. I am 16 years younger than her but my legs are awful compared with hers!

He’s had to have both his hips replaced due to osteoarthritis…

I enjoyed the judges’ dance this time, but catching up with launch show last night I kept thinking, why do they have to make it sooooo long? Once we’ve seen the celebs’ little intro bit and them meeting their pros, they don’t need to sit on the sofa with Tess and Claud for more of the same.

Preferred it when they were paired up in the studio!

Managed to catch up yesterday I did know the pairings but I forgot so it was a surprise. I can't see Nigel and Katyia getting on she's far too hyper for him I can imagine her shouting NO ever time he wants to Meditate 😄

He started as a dancer in his youth before moving to the choreography side.

I think Bobby will definitely make it into the final, unless Dianne gets in his way. Everybody thinks he is adorable. Except me.

I read about Jade's mother having a tantrum when Bobby Brazier won a TV award the other week. It made many of the tabloids. I can see her causing trouble now Bobby's on Strictly.

I read that, I don't know much about her I've not seen her for a while she used to be everywhere but I got the impression she wants a bit of her fame back !

The thing I read she bought a Ticket for the TV awards it seemed like a dig and as Bobby's gran she should have been invited, tbh I don't know anything about the relationship with his Gm,Jeff has kept that side of their childhood private which is fair.

I'm well aware. He's never had natural movement. Hip replacement doesn't remove rhythm. Everything looks forced

Layton, you could tell just from the group dance he was head and shoulders above most of the others, but, as with all the ringers, they are there so people can watch good dancing while the others are learning rather than 2 hours of stomping around. I only know him from Bad Education. I only just realised he's been in loads of musicals.

I think stage school kids are always going to be contestants on strictly. They are hard to avoid really.

I agree. The soaps trawl Silvia Young etc for cast, then they go on Strictly, so unless you dont have any actors on there at all, they would have had some dance training.

I suspect that Ellie did a lot of dance lessons in her teens (assuming that Corrie + school left her any free time of course, maybe it didn't).

I thought he wasn't moving brilliantly on Saturday. I thought the judges group dance was a bit of a damp squib actually, apart from Shirley who is SPECTACULAR. They did a much better judges group dance 5 years ago when Motsi first joined, it was way more dynamic

I love Shirley she's amazing I wasn't sure at first but I'm a big fan 😊

That’s how I feel about Shirley. I very rarely love (or even like) her as a judge, or in any other capacity, but her dancing, energy and level of fitness are phenomenal, I have to admire that.

Ooh, ooh is it time for me to share that video of Shirley dancing a Rumba demo with ex-pro Michael Chapman again????

From what I remember of Jade's mother from Jade's fame, there were drugs involved and she was a bit unstable. They could be NC for sensible reasons
