verything. The premise, the writing, the acting, the clothes, the wigs, the EVERYTHING.E

That it was a Levy family creation.

Laughing out loud every single time.

I'd vaguely heard the title, but had never seen it til now - just seen two episodes a night and the final two last night.

The wedding.

The leaving.
🥲

I resisted watching it for quite some time and then really enjoyed it.

NailyDale · 11/09/2023 03:56

I loathed it the first time I tried. Gave it another go ages later and it's now one of my favourite ever shows. I quote it daily. Ew David!

JFDIYOLO · 11/09/2023 06:59

Moira is mesmerising - the way she pronounces things and wraps her lips round her teeth and the wigs and the magnificent wardrobe and I am jealous of her figure ...

I also found myself walking my fingers along the cafe table them booping my partner on the nose to announce some good news the other day, and I KNOW I've started grimacing like David when I am displeased ..

I am always pleased to RSVP as pending! Whenever my DS or my niece do something new, my Dsis or I will always text each other and say ‘great progress for Bebe’. Loved it!

HermioneWeasley · 11/09/2023 07:10

It was glorious - so funny and so much heart

RachelGreensHair · 11/09/2023 14:02

Would recommend watching the behind the scenes end of season episode too.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/09/2023 14:07

I watched it today where Moira and John look after Roland Jr and Moira says “isn’t it scheduled to be dormant by now?”

I’m so using that for baby dd from now on. We already call her the Bebe 😂

Kayemm · 11/09/2023 14:08

Oh I sobbed at the last read through 😥

Hearmenow23 · 26/10/2023 05:58

It's taken me a year or so to get past episode 3, but I knew it was supposed to be good- but I didn't know what I had coming! Well I've just binge watched it and loved everything about it. The stories, the characters, the casting. I love David and I loved his relationship. It was so real, and he acted it perfectly- you could actually see him falling in love and becoming a different person- not bad going for a 'comedy'. I'm bereft.

MuthaHubbard · 26/10/2023 06:06

Absolutely ADORE it. I held off watching and then binged as much as humanly possible. I then kept mentioning to DH that he needed to watch and when he did (of course I researched) he said it's the best series he's ever seen.
From crying with laughter to actual crying.
Rumours of a film keep floating around

kittenchaos2 · 26/10/2023 06:08

Love love love it.

MuthaHubbard · 26/10/2023 06:09

Oh and when David 'does Tina Turner' in the store, I'm grinning my head off and crying at the same time

Sylver75 · 26/10/2023 06:15

I came to it late too and also initially didn't get it, watched 2 episodes and gave up but months later decided to try it again and absolutely adored it.

The casting is just so spot on, the writing so sharp, it has it all.

It made me laugh and made me cry and the last episode I shed tears because I was genuinely so sad it was all over.

I think David and Patrick's relationship is my favourite tv pairing ever. They brought out the best in each other.

TrustPenguins · 26/10/2023 06:24

Loved it too!
We put off watching it for ages (didn't really have a clue what it was about) but then ended up binge watching the whole thing.
Still can't decide who my favourite character is.

Aposterhasnoname · 26/10/2023 06:28

I’ve watched the first two episodes and didn’t laugh once. Should I keep going?

Hearmenow23 · 26/10/2023 06:57

Yes! Keep going and if you don't like it by the middle of season 2, leave it. The episodes are very short.

Mrsjayy · 26/10/2023 07:05

It got me through lockdowns More 4 started showing it nightly I had heard of it but I don't use Netflix anyway Moira Rose is an absolute legend and the whole series was just perfect.

AnyFucker · 26/10/2023 07:52

I use David’s “I don’t know what that means?” when faced with shitty comments

Fantastic series

crumblingschools · 26/10/2023 08:28

Got us through lockdown and have watched it again since. Love it

Iamplastic · 26/10/2023 08:32

David's stag do, was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV. I couldn't breathe for laughing.

RunnyPaint · 26/10/2023 08:36

I'm another one who gave up part way through episode 2. Perhaps I'll give it another go this winter.

Tinytigertail · 26/10/2023 08:36

Aposterhasnoname · 26/10/2023 06:28

I’ve watched the first two episodes and didn’t laugh once. Should I keep going?

Yes! They are not particularly likable for the first few episodes, it's the character development that is so heartwarming. Plough on and enjoy!

I’ve watched the first two episodes and didn’t laugh once. Should I keep going?

Yes. It took 3 or 4 episodes to hook me.
