verything. The premise, the writing, the acting, the clothes, the wigs, the EVERYTHING.E

That it was a Levy family creation.

Laughing out loud every single time.

I'd vaguely heard the title, but had never seen it til now - just seen two episodes a night and the final two last night.

The wedding.

The leaving.
🥲

Yes. It took 3 or 4 episodes to hook me.

Once you get into the whole Schitt way of life it flows better doesn't it.

Hearmenow23 · 26/10/2023 09:13

And it is a bit claustrophobic for the first series, but they do start to venture out.

Aposterhasnoname · 26/10/2023 06:28

I’ve watched the first two episodes and didn’t laugh once. Should I keep going?

Yes! It takes ages to get in to but it's totally and utterly worth it. The usual pattern is don't like it at first, then absolutely love it, bereft when it ends and then re-watch the first bit again now that you've fallen in love with the characters.

Daiyu · 26/10/2023 09:34

It got me through a nasty bout of COVID last year - I just loved it!

I've rewatched since when I was feeling low - it's ultimate feel good telly. I just love David so much ❤️

CaptainMyCaptain · 26/10/2023 10:02

I would love a big David hug. He looks so huggable.

Iwillnotdancewiththedevil · 26/10/2023 10:26

I'm just rewatching for the billionth time! It genuinely makes me feel happy and warm... can't think of any other show that can do that every single time I watch it.

TrustPenguins · 26/10/2023 21:39

AnyFucker · 26/10/2023 07:52

I use David’s “I don’t know what that means?” when faced with shitty comments

😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/10/2023 09:21

I found Alexa ( the daughter, I think that’s the right name) intensely irritating but that’s her character I suppose. There’s some very funny bits so I really need to watch properly and filter her out

Mrsjayy · 27/10/2023 09:25

Alexis grew on me as her character developed but tbf she grew up unsupervised and the forgotten child so I forgave her selfishness

SlashBeef · 27/10/2023 09:28

Hands down my favourite show ever, ever. Definitely watch at least 5 or 6 episodes to get into it if you're not sure. I watched the first 2 episodes ages ago and didn't understand what the fuss was about. Then I returned to it randomly, I can't remember why, and just fell in love with it.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 27/10/2023 09:35

I thought it was brilliant. The writing was excellent and the slow growth of the main cast from being appalling stereotypes to likeable, fully formed characters was handled superbly.

hellswelshy · 27/10/2023 09:38

Absolutely love Schitts Creek! All the characters bar none are excellent, it's heart warming, very funny, I've watched it at least 4 times. It's my go to when I've had a hard week 😊

Ironfloor269 · 27/10/2023 09:42

Schitt's Creek and The Durrells are the only two series that I actually cried while watching the last episodes. Bloody brilliant! I really wish they'd make more...

TheChosenTwo · 27/10/2023 09:46

I watched the whole of the first series years ago and gave up on it. I think I did this a couple of times and it just didn’t grab me.
Then decided to give it another go a few months back and fell in love with it.
So heartwarming and endearing, Jonny and Stevie’s relationship grows so beautifully! I loved the whole thing - such a feel good programme.

DataColour · 27/10/2023 09:49

I'm watching this for the first time and loving it. I'm a few episodes in and excited to know that it keeps getting better!

Love all the characters!

Lovelynames123 · 27/10/2023 09:49

I'm on holiday and downloaded it to watch on the plane, for the 2nd time, absolutely love it! There is a Schitt's GIF for every conversation I have on WhatsApp 😂

Mamadothehump · 27/10/2023 09:50

One of my most favourite shows ever! Keep trying to get my teens into it but they're not interested unfortunately. Also sobbed at the last read through!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 27/10/2023 09:59

Resisted it for ages and have just begun watching it and am in love. I think David’s character is one of my favourite TV creations ever.

Schitts Creek Love GIF by CBC

Yes!

Rockfordpeach · 27/10/2023 10:19

It took me three attempts to get past the first few episodes and then in turned into my most favourite show ever, I rewatch it every year. I recently convinced my best friend to give it a go and now she's a convert

Roaminginthegloaming · 27/10/2023 10:26

Which TV channel is it on? No-one ever seems to say which channel or platform these TV series can be watched on!

Or am I too late and they’re unavailable now?

Hearmenow23 · 27/10/2023 10:29

It's on Netflix now.

Mrsjayy · 27/10/2023 10:30

It will be on Netflix but I see its currently on Dave so you should be able to download from UK tv play.

Its5656 · 27/10/2023 10:38

I love this show, some of my fav scenes are..

David.. I don't know how to fold broken bits of cheese!
Moira.. Here's what you do David, you just fold it in! Brilliant.

Lalalalalalaaaah I'm a little bit Alexis.

When Patrick sings Tina Turner to David and you see him melt.

When Moira opens Jocelyn and Roland's scan photo.. Who put a picture of a ghost on my desk?!?

The wedding was perfect.

I agree with what other people have said, David and Patrick have the best relationship I've ever seen in a tv show.

Sgtmajormummy · 27/10/2023 10:39

I love the casual references to their previous life, something like:
Jared Leto gave me this jumper.
Or
You try running away from Afghanistan kidnappers in six-inch heels.
