The arrogance of - and adulation/fawning gratitude meted out for - the Hollywood Handshake really annoys me too. Silver fox be damned - I've seen more appealing foxes lying squashed on the M27 slip-road.

Sorry for Tasha but it was the right result. I'd like Dan to win but think it will be Josh. Dan seems like the ideal man to have on a team. Funny, grounded and practical. It was lovely the way he has been quietly consoling others when they're down, and helping them if he could.

They have been a really nice lot this year and the whole thing seems more good-natured with Alison instead of Matt. I think Saku remains my absolute favourite though - I've missed her presence in the tent.

Part of this I think is because of Extra Slice. They make such a big deal of it its ridiculous and Pauls ego has been stroked so much by it. Its embarrassing. I'm surprised Jo Brand agreed to be part of it. He was giving them out like sweeties at one point and was clearly told to pack it in. I hope Prue makes him call her Dame Leith every day!

I didn’t realise they were the same age! Tasha seems quite childlike, I thought she was around the same age as my DD 23.

I’d like Matty or Josh to win.

This is spoilt by the non funny quips by the guy who is there to annoy everyone.

As, shame for Tasha. I think she is a better baker overall than Matty, who has had a lot of shockers. I don't want him to win.

I'd like Dan to win, but have a feeling it will be Josh, given the low profile at the start.

Dans flavours are unusual, which sometimes works, but not always. Josh is more usual, maybe even a little dull, but I'd probably like them better to eat, and he is very good at the presentation, so think it could be him for the win.

I just hope not Matty, as I think that would be unfair given his skills generally not being as good as the others all along - he's in the final by luck! I thought they did sometimes take previous weeks into account when choosing at the semi final and final levels. So on that, I thought Tasha might have made the final.

And yes Juergen should have been in the final for sure, even if he didn't end up winning - he deserved the place

And yes to the Prue fist bump. It's annoyed me for ages that Paul seems the assumed king of judging and his opinion always carries more weight

I like Matty and don't care who wins, but agree. I would never have had him down as a finalist at the start. I think he dodged a bullet at the start as there were poorer Bakes on the mix but got better but Tasha started off well but didn't maintain the standard when thee was competition.She shouldn't have stayed in over Matty thus week imo

I do t think Matty has a chance of winning g but he has really upped his game towards the end - the judges like to see someone improving like that.

I wanted Marty to leave in the first episode after he couldn't even make simple buttercream. But, I have to admit he really has grown on me and his baking knowledge has increased a lot. I've just started following him on Instagram and he is good.
However, my dd pointed out he looks like a dog when it hears or smells something. A sort of curious questioning look, and now I can't unsee it🤣
As fr the winner, either Dan or Josh as both are good. Maybe Josh deserves it more as he has just got on with his bakes week after week. Or is that just the editing? 🤔

Matty is lucky to be there-and he knows it! But he’s so adorable, and has produced the odd wonderful bake.

I think either Dan or Josh to win, don’t kind which, I love the supportive comments they make to other contestants.

How did his children keep it secret?! That's pretty impressive.

I have been in the Extra Slice audience twice, quite a while ago, it was lots of fun. Takes all day to film. One of the episodes I was at was the one where Martha Collinson was the evicted Baker, can't remember who the other one was.
