Anyone else watched this? I just finished it. Not sure what to make of the ending but I found the series really enjoyable (crazy and far fetched but enjoyable!) Beautiful setting too. Looks like it might be setting up for a second season?

I’m really enjoying it so far - but haven’t finished it yet. She is super feisty, cool, seems kind - and it’s pretty funny when she plays the innocent teacher “have a good day!”

I’m about two thirds through. There are elements of ‘so bad it’s good’ - some of the acting and the artificiality of the dialogue - but it’s all good fun.

Yes just finished it last night. I think she's gorgeous and love the character although it's a bit far fetched BUT I really really really wish they wouldn't choose actors who aren't English and make them do a fake plummy English accent. It just feels so off.
I think Penelope was my fave!

I have just watched the final episode of this series. It was probably the worst one I have ever seen. The acting was soo bad and the action was absolutely unbelievable. Shot in the stomach and still able to kill the professional assassins, etc. etc. etc. If I knew how this ended I doubt I would have even started watching it...

I gave up after 3 or 4 episodes and just read spoilers for the end, I wanted to know what happened but couldn't bring myself to sit through more bad acting!

@stonkytonk11 yes, I finished it last night. I'd agree that it looks like it's set up for a 2nd series.
I think I enjoyed it? Like others have said it was so out there and not really rooted in reality - like, where did all dead ones go? Apart from Murag (I'm not sure of name - the first woman who came after her at the school) there didn't seem to be any sort of fuss around all these dead people and crime scenes! 😂 I think it was definitely one to try and just forget logic or anything like that (which is soooo hard for me, and why I don't watch sci-fi, especially with other people who get annoyed at me constantly saying "that can't happen", "why doesn't he/she do this or that", it drives me nuts! 😆) and to just suspend reality and go with it.
So I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it, but that ending...all those bodies...explosions...unintentionally funny I think!

I did enjoy it, but it was incredibly far fetched and had an ending to set up another series. A shot of adrenaline and she was up and ready to go again. As if!
Harper was so rude to everyone and lots of casual swearing too.

I wouldn’t mind another series. The silliness will only escalate.

It was so weird. Like it had been dubbed into English or something. And the acting! Appalling! It was like watching a car crash! The buffy style fight scenes were also just so bad! Like done thing from the 80s. Was this done on purpose?

Douglas Henshaw is so wooden in everything he does! How is he still getting work?!?

I didn’t watch it all but was in the room doing something else while DP watched. I was open mouthed at it.

What made me lol was the reaction of other people. At one stage she was at some swanky place with blood on her t shirt looking like shit and nobody batted an eyelid or even looked up

The bad guys would have sniffed her out from the get go too she looked so out of place with them all
I didn't hate it, but it was surreal at times

I loved it. I thought it was great entertainment. Yes, a bit silly and no-one's going to win awards for best actor but it was enjoyable and didn't require too much effort for some easy watching.

@BitOutOfPractice yes! I was thinking exactly the same thing about it looking like it was dubbed! I was even watching the English actors' mouths because even then it had that feeling of being dubbed. Really strange that, wasn't it?

It was really weird @Whatwaswrongwiththatusername . Just something off about it that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

and Barcelona looked like the Hollywood hills to me. Very odd

We started husband moaned it was crap I went upstairs and binged watched to stop myself drinking wine as I’m trying to be alcohol free for a while. It was entertaining enough. A bit cliche. Did the job as I did not drink any wine.

Caught a bit of Spectre last night , there is a scene early on where James Bond kills a man in a house and then goes on to have sex with a woman leaving the dead man at the poolside!
This was similar with how people just seemed to get away with huge amounts without any kind of retribution!
Plus Erin only seemed to know a few Spanish words too , surely you'd need to be almost fluent to teach ?
The other English lady was such a stereotype too and I'm shocked that Harpers real mum didn't just shoot her

I thought it was an English school.
Very impressive how all the Spanish people seemed to speak fluent English whenever they needed to talk to Harper though.

We’ve got 2 Espinosa to go but it’s awful 🙈. I can’t get past the over pronunciation of their ‘t’s! Was anyone else routing for her to be caught to stop all the carnage? 😂

The ridiculousness of how she gets smashed in the face over and over and never has any bruising the next day!

I watched it all. It annoyed me that after 5 years and married to a local neither the mother or the daughter had bothered to learn the language. How did a nurse and a schoolteacher afford to live in what seemed to be a fairly exclusive area?

apart from that, the ridiculousness of the adrenaline shot enabling her to see off a string of assassins and long lasting enough to get to the end without passing out. The fact that bloodstained and bruised people could just walk into a posh party and no one seemed to notice of care was bizarre. The fight scenes were inconsistent, if she was so good why was she so useless in the supermarket?

It was wooden, annoying and improbable but I ended up watching to the end. The ending was entirely predictable though, no surprises or plot twists there. I’m not sure I would watch a second series, but who knows? After episode 2 I didn’t think I’d bother watching any more but I did.

My two went to an international school in mainland Spain many moons ago and the teachers could all speak Spanish and English.
Not always fluent Spanish, but certainly better than Erin seemed to!
I did love her showing up at the interview in a T-shirt ! It just struck me as funny ( although she didn't have a lot of options at that one)

that should say episodes 😂. Also how can you live in Spain for 5 years, be married to a Spanish man and only appear to know “si” in Spanish?

Couldn't get through the first episode. I've got crocheted blankets with less holes.

Oh, I also couldn’t get past the fact that she changed her T-shirt but not her jeans, there’s nothing more uncomfortable that wet, heavy jeans!
