@Twonewcats yes, he was good. I'd be worried for his health if he did a jive or the Charlston though, he didn't look very fit.

Aww I would have liked to have seen Michael Ball and Les Dennis in Hairspray. We got the guy from Hale and pace and Alex Bourne (I think that's his name)

I saw Les Dennis in an ep of one of those crime dramas. He played quite a sinister character. He was very good… I think he’s versatile and wouldn’t struggle with the storytelling element of the dances. But I could see fitness being a problem at age 70 for someone who wasn’t a retired sportsperson.

Has anyone aged 65+ lasted more than a few weeks? Lesley Joseph and Johnny Ball were out quite quickly but I can’t think of any others. Ann Widdecombe was about the same age as Debbie, 60ish, I think - but far less athletic.

John Sargeant was 64 and came 7th.

I remember Pamela Stephenson actually. Bruce Forsyth joked that her husband Billy voted for Ann every week! That was a good series iirc.

I've watched every series and I don't remember Felicity Kendall either!

Gloria Hunniford was in it, briefly, once - she was probably in her 60s at the time.

I’m surprised Felicity Kendall only came 8th, I thought she was higher placed than that.

I find her so incredibly beautiful.

Statistically, age is obvious against you - if you look at the list above, those in their fifties don't do that much better.
There are exceptions as mentioned above but you're more likely to be an early boot than a Bill Bailey/Caroline Quentin et al.

I do remember Felicity - lovely Vincent did well and got her to Blackpool - quite a few of their dances are still on youtube.

I think Les Dennis is touring in 42nd St until end of October.

The Daily Mail is saying today that Les will be joining so it must be true!

I hate to say it, but the Mail has been spot on with the spoilers this year (according to a poster on Digital Spy who ran through the track record of every tabloid and every leak) so they're probably right about this one too.

Ellie Leach off Corrie just announced. According to Monkseal "she looks like Georgia May Foote's kid sister who became an estate agent."

I've not watched Corrie since Chesney were a lad , so I don't know who Ellie Leach is, I wonder who our eastender will be?
