My favourite show, I see it’s back on Monday on W, it’s going to be very strange watching this series knowing Jock has passed away. I really liked him.

Yay! Been looking out for this. Both DH and I love it. Although have visitors staying next week. May have to convert them!

it will be so odd watching it this time. I loved Jock too. My best friend lives in Sydney and she’s watched it already and said it was a bit strange and very sad at first but she made herself forget he had died.

Also as I did so much googling of the Jock
story, looking up the judges socials etc.. the algorithms think I’m interested in all things MCA so I did get notified of the winner which is super annoying. I wonder what will happen going forward with the show, Jock will be a hard act to follow.

I've stayed off social media. I'm so sad about Jock.

Jock's death upset me quite a lot. I'm not sure I can bear to watch this season even though I've seen all the others up to now. I've set it to record but we'll see.

I feel a bit the same @DramaAlpaca. As I said up thread my friend in Sydney was the same but watched it and enjoyed it. I know I’ll be a crying mess at times though. I was surprised how much his death upset me at the time. He just seemed like a lovely man who had had his issues and demons but had come through. There was such a warmth about him.

The show won a Logie award last weekend for best reality show in Australia. They dedicated it to Jock.

I watched it Australia pace and there was a lovely tribute in the final episode.
It was weird watching knowing it was Jock's last few months.

I'm looking forward to this as always but sad about Jock 😢

Anyone watching? Seen 3 episodes, liking Antonio and Ralph. They welcomed Jamie Oliver like he was the Messiah.

Yea I’m watching .. it’s all very familiar, I love it .. though the producers do really get their moneys worth out of immunity challenges.. between competing to get into immunity and the immunity challenge itself ! As the season goes on I’ll invariably fast forward a lot of those. It will take me another week to get to grips with the names.. the only one I remember is the Phil the Irish guy as his steak and mashed potatoes were just so unbelievably bad!

I'm keeping up, just! Agree about the Immunity Challenge, they really milk it. After that big build up, when they said "Jamie Oliver ta dah!" I was amazed. I thought Heston or, at a stretch, Gordon.

Have watched them today. Must admit I found the first episode hard and I’ve got a swinging brick

although annoyed with the massive build up for Jamie I did think he was really good with the contestants, not like some that have made it really difficult for them in the challenges

loved Jock's haircut from his hairdresser mum and barber dad

It will take about 3 years to get through this series at this rate. Past contestants coming back next week. Same old ones who come back every time.

I loved tonight's episode. Jock was looking so yummy. 😥

I was confused about the magic apron. I haven't watched Fridays yet but I think it means she can take part in the next elimination so has a chance to get back in

How is the beat the chef immunity challenge ever supposed to work? Is Shannon supposed to help them more? Telling Theo to put a lot of apple in isn’t really isn’t helping him

I'm watching now and Mrs Grey Apron hasn't appeared yet. I like Declan, he's sweet and seems sincere. Mind you, the Aussies are generally sincere

MCA is always much more friendly than other versions.

There have been plenty of contestants that's beaten the professional chef. I know Shannon stopped doing it for a while and I'm glad he's back now.
