I still get that feeling I’ve forgotten to do something on a Tuesday.

Me too! It was my little waymarker through the working week - if ever I'm unsure what day it is, I still automatically think 'Has Holby been on yet?' I wish they'd bring it back.

(I caused great hilarity during my home birth on a Tuesday nearly 17 years ago - in between pushes, I asked the midwife what time it was and she said it was nearly 10.00, to which I responded with an almost hysterical 'Well I've missed Holby City then!!')

So DC3 was almost born at home because I didn’t want to miss the end of Holby. Luckily we lived very close to the hospital. She was born at 9.30pm on a Tuesday 🫣

(I had already been sent home at 7pm as not in ‘established labour’. Turns out I labour ridiculously quickly. DC4 was out in 4 contractions - they wouldn’t send me home after reading my notes 🤣)

daffodilandtulip · 22/02/2024 20:55

Haha @JanBlue I went into labour during casualty but refused to move or do anything about it until casualty had finished 🤣

The whole violence from would-be-patients towards HCPs is being really bigged up in this season. It's pointing not too subtly to either Charlie being killed in the line of duty, or perhaps killing someone while defending colleagues from an attack. Not a spoiler just a hunch.

WhatICallMyUsername · 23/02/2024 16:05

Didn't someone say previously that each "series" of 12 episodes was focusing on one topic though? I'll have to scroll back to check

purpleme12 · 23/02/2024 16:16

Yes I think it is.

It's a funny thing they're doing

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 21:21

What time is it on tonight? I watched it earlier and have been sitting on my hands

LouisCatorze · 24/02/2024 21:23

On now

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 21:25

Showing my age, but it’s ’Ar Aveline’!!! 😁😍

That was intense!! Major continuity lapse at the very end though with Cam being in the room with Stevie and then teleporting to the desk, deep in conversation with Jodie, as Stevie and the dodgy policeman came out.

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 21:41

Right. I've no idea why Bread is being mentioned still. And no idea what this ar Aveline is
But anyway it doesn't matter

He's a policeman and it seems they're going with an ACAB slant to casualty these days.

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 21:44

No it's not finished.
Finishes at 10.05

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 21:44

Sorry @purpleme12 there was a sitcom many years ago set in Liverpool - the new nurse played the character Aveline, who was always called ‘Ar Aveline’ as in ‘ar kid’.

I didn’t want to post anything else until after the end the episode and she appeared early on.

LouisCatorze · 24/02/2024 21:45

Wasn't she married to Sean Bean at some point?

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 21:45

Oh ok thanks.
Yes am watching episode live.
I've managed not to read the spoilers above because I saw beginning of each post and realised they'd contain spoilers

Wasn't she married to Sean Bean at some point?

Yes. Is she the mother of his kids or is Abigail Cruttenden?

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 21:46

Reported my post 🫣

UsernameChangerRanger · 24/02/2024 21:59

Why was Harry in that meeting? He was there with a patient not in a work capacity.

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 22:01

Oh my god!!!
