That was intense!! Major continuity lapse at the very end though with Cam being in the room with Stevie and then teleporting to the desk, deep in conversation with Jodie, as Stevie and the dodgy policeman came out.

Nope you saw Cam leave the room with everybody after Stevie was handcuffed but then he quickly walks off in a different direction towards where the desk is.

UsernameChangerRanger · 24/02/2024 21:43

He's a policeman and it seems they're going with an ACAB slant to casualty these days.

What's ACAB?

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 22:03

I wish we knew what his wife was going to say now!!

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 22:04

Oh I've realised what ACAB means

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 22:13

ok, what I reported/had deleted:

Has it finished now? I thought Harry was a security person rather than actual Police? Would they really handcuff in that scenario? Do we think there is something dodge about him still or was the wife unnerved because Stevie was on edge?

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 22:15

So now it has and some of the above answered, the Harry thing is very weird. I can’t decide if it’s a clever portrayal of Stevie’s paranoia or if he really is a wrong ‘un

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 22:16

I think he's a wrong un

JanBlue · 24/02/2024 22:22

Is he going to be the cause of Charliexit?! 😱 because Charlie keeps on sticking up for him…. Will Harry go on a rampage a la Holby mass murderer then blow up the ED (again)?! Charlie will go up first being wooden… no chance to save him 😢

purpleme12 · 24/02/2024 22:25

I don't think so 😂

Optimist1 · 24/02/2024 23:01

That was a real kangaroo court! The way the copper gave the handcuffs a twist as he was escorting Stevie out was vile.

This is a good call. Charlie keeps banging on about the fact he's known him for years and we've never heard him mentioned until a few weeks ago!

Why did Cam say he didn't feel threatened when he was literally shouting for help?

Kiwano · 24/02/2024 23:11

Have we seen the last of Paige, then?

How come she was all set to start her new job at one moment and it's disappeared a couple of hours later? Yet another example of the fact that basic employment law doesn't apply in Holby?

I think Cam meant he didn't think the patient would hurt him

But just that he couldn't treat the patient or get him calm

unvillage · 24/02/2024 23:32

Harry is a police officer who has been stationed in the ED since the recent assaults on staff. He is absolutely a wrong 'un though. And ACAB is absolutely correct. Do we think he's been hurting Mel for a while and getting away with it with their autistic teenage son as an excuse?

Another character down in Paige, are we set for another round of F2s? Siobhan is going to be fun and I love her actor.

ChrisPPancake · 25/02/2024 08:33

Rash is going to go as well I reckon - the talk of Australia and how wonderful their hospitals are with his cousin?

AnImaginaryCat · 25/02/2024 09:13

Yes got the feeling Rash is going too. (On a side, what happened to Rash's dad's friend who was helping out at the start? You'd have thought he'd have been there. All seemed unrealistically quite, there being no aunties and uncles at all!)

I think Harry is a bad 'un. Hoping Siobhán will sort it.

Absolutely love Siobhán. Really hope the writers don't screw up her character by giving her a total character change due to losing her glasses or repeatedly having a relationship with an unlikely match.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 25/02/2024 09:20

Siobhan is a breath of fresh air - early signs are looking really promising for her character as a refreshing - and professional - change to ‘oh sweetheart’ Faith. Love the little details of her character like the way she stopped typing and you could tell her ears were pricking up when Harry started badmouthing Stevie.

Still hate the way Charlie is ignoring Stevie’s instincts because ‘he’s known Harry for years’ - it’s straight out of the domestic abuse playbook! ‘Oh, he seemed such a nice guy.’ They always are, to other men. He’s clearly a wrong’un.

LIZS · 25/02/2024 10:30

Was Harry even on duty? Should they not have called others in? No allegation was made yet.

WhatICallMyUsername · 25/02/2024 10:35

Also where was Harry actually taking Stevie in handcuffs?! There was no police there to take her, surely he wouldn't be allowed to take her in his own car

AGoodDayForSomebodyElseToDie · 25/02/2024 11:01

Cam was shouting for help because the patient was trying to hurt himself, by throwing himself at the wall and bashing his head off it - not because he thought the patient was a threat to his safety. It was really unfair to make him answer that question in front of Stevie though. The whole thing was horribly handled for everyone.

I was trying to give Harry the benefit of the doubt - as we are seeing things largely from stevie’s perspective, right up to the point it jerked the cuffs. That was cruel.

Loving the new nurse though. My god, is she an improvement on the internally whiny Faith 😂

AGoodDayForSomebodyElseToDie · 25/02/2024 11:12

Infernally whiny. If she was internally whiny I would find her less irritating.

Almost as irritating as not proof reading my own posts 🙄

I thought you were going for ‘eternally whiny’ which would have been equally applicable!

😂 it works both ways!

Walkingtheplank · 25/02/2024 13:51

Isn't odd that Harry happened to have handcuffs with him?

purpleme12 · 25/02/2024 13:54

I don't think that's odd no. I mean he is a policeman!
