According to Wikipedia she was in it for one episode in 2011 and then again for 3 episodes in 2015/16 playing the same character!

Oh dear, that article claims that Charlie's exit is going to be "a real shocking, exciting, gut-wrenching and hopefully edge of your seat stuff." Can't he just wander off into a happy retirement, surely he's earned it by now?

I remember her in the three 2016 episodes, she was the wife of Dixie's love interest Jess. She was abusing Jess's daughter Olivia. Jess left her and ran away to Cornwall with her daughter and Dixie.

He's going to look a person in the eyes when he talk to them.

I think that'll be enough to be the Charlie equivalent of a drop mic.

Charlie can’t toddle off to a happy retirement because the bugger just keeps coming back. They have to kill him, or he will just turn up for the next filming session like nothing’s happened.

Charlie’s left before, but leaving doesn’t last. Only death is final - and even then I wouldn’t be surprised if we had ZombieCharlie nursing within a dozen episodes!

Max Gallagher was definitely turn of the millenium era - he had a son, Frank, who was an addict turned counsellor and died an horrific death. It was the era of Patrick Spiller, Holly Miles (then Lara Stone), Sean and Tina, Barney the nurse, Spencer the porter…

Chloe the Welsh nurse who got off with a gangster(general criminal?) and ran away with him. Roxy the hapless single mother nurse. Adam the nurse with HIV. Tom the anaesthetist(?!) who stalked Holly. Dan the manager who Tom drugged in his apartment by putting anaesthesia in his whisky and blaming antihistamines…

(ok that last one was quite specific. I’m now all the way down the rabbit hole! They were good times indeed)

When you said Max Gallagher I had to google as I knew the name and of course I'd forgotten about him!

There was also Max McGerry in Holby. Maybe the writers just like the name 🤣

I read that she was on some chat show, Loose Women I think, and said that she’s just back for two episodes.
Really hoped it was a permanent return.
