Talks to self

Did no one watch

The first house kitchen was wow !!!!!

Couldn't work out if she was buying it alone or he was helping but not going to live there yet

Wonder how old his son was

I think most of the places they showed Reena were never going to work for her. As a young single woman it makes far more sense to live as close to the centre of Oxford as possible not an hour away in a small town. Glad she realised that in the end.

It did seem an odd arrangement - he was staying where he was to help his son settle (?). They had plenty of money though and needed enough space to entertain 100s of people.

I liked Reena, she seemed very positive. The cottage was lovely but I can see why she wanted to live somewhere more central.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/05/2023 18:40

Agree def needed more central

As the name says. It's all about location 😂

Thanks! I didn’t know that there was a new series so just watched on catch up.

I think living in Oxford would be much more sensible for Reena as a young single woman, I hope that she finds somewhere soon.

As for the other couple, buying a house together after only knowing each other for 18 months seems sensible but I suspect that he was going to have a financial interest in the house either immediately or perhaps later on and she wasn’t buying alone. The Longcot garden was lovely.

purpleme12 · 04/05/2023 22:06

I assume they're buying it together but he's just not moving in straightaway. But just what I took from it.
Not really sure what it was about when it said he's staying where he is so his son can settle but then I guess that's not what the programme's about!

lollipoprainbow · 05/05/2023 01:21

The Victorian school house gave me the creeps!

purpleme12 · 05/05/2023 01:23

Ah I liked it

toomuchlaundry · 05/05/2023 01:47

We missed the beginning of the programme so didn’t know what the position of the couple was. One house they looked at seemed enormous but it was too small and they needed a big garden for entertaining

Tirrrrred · 05/05/2023 07:11

Hated the couple.
Hardly know each other.
Can't stand the hand holding constantly.
The homes were all too small for 2 people?
Needing outdoor space for 100 guests? Feel bad for their new neighbours.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2023 10:05

They met 18mths ago online dating

He has a son but don't know the age

He was going to settle son then move in eventually

Hence why needed to be semi close to his home still

Couldn't find episode 1 on catch up... just episode 2. Help please

TaraRhu · 05/05/2023 10:16

They were a total middle aged online dating cliche!

I think it's time for phil and Kristie to move on tbh. They can't seem to make a whole series anymore without doing 'revisits'. It all a bit out if touch with reality for most people. Not very woke helping nice middle class couples whose only issue is that they can't find a good enough house!

I'd like to see kirstie help first time buyers with no bank of mum and dad help. She's always ranting on about how 'ridiculous' it is that young people say they can't get on the property ladder - so prove it. She's massively privileged and has no idea. She smashed up her kids I pads when she was annoyed by them and says stupid stuff like she'd 'set' a daughter up in a flat so she could have a baby young. Most people can't do nor went to boarding school and have aristocratic links.

Yes wouldn't it be refreshing to see first time buyers struggling or even renters !

purpleme12 · 05/05/2023 11:20

I'm pretty sure they have their fair share of renters and FTBs on there, it's just they've usually got loads of money available!
Yes it would be nice to see people like me who go for the 'cheaper' houses sometimes

It would be interesting to see the responses to that set up on the MN Relationships board. None of our business, I know. I was more surprised by their requirement to entertain hundreds of people.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2023 21:00

They wanted space to socialise

Yes they have had many first time buyers but now budgets are £300/500k as sadly that's what houses cost in the south london and Oxford

Need a few in cheaper areas where on mn say can buy a house for £100k

Howtohideasausage · 05/05/2023 21:10

Just watched. Why on earth did they take a young woman who works in Oxford to some arse end village?!

Couldn’t work out the dog/pub couple. I reckon he didn’t split up from his ex that long ago.

LadyEloise1 · 06/05/2023 08:12

I couldn't get my head around the dismissal of one lovely house because the fabulous big garden wasn't big enough for parties with 100 guests. 🤫

CaptainMyCaptain · 06/05/2023 16:31

I know! That was my dream garden.

Abracadabra12345 · 08/05/2023 17:15

I had no idea there was a new Location which is my favourite out of all the property programmes so thank you! I’m not reading this until I watch it though. Always late to the party, me......

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/05/2023 17:49

@Abracadabra12345 welcome aboard

Watch and come back

If you are on all4 catch up you get next week’s episode a week before it’s shown on live TV, so I have already watched the Edinburgh edition.
