The false eyelash dabbing, the red nose, THE CHILD!

Oh the humanity.
I nearly smashed the TV last night.
You guys have made me laugh so much. So glad I found this thread!

MelsMoneyTree · 26/04/2023 09:14

It's fascinating - in a morbid way - that we can see Harrison's actions and hear his own words from his own mouth - and yet some people will still say he had a bad edit. A bad edit might cut out 'good' actions but it can't consistently fabricate actions and words.
If there were a few incidents that were open to interpretation then maybe but Harrison has consistently acted like an abusive arse with the emotional depth of a teaspoon. He has blatantly gaslit, manipulated and stirred. That doesn't mean he isn't occasionally funny - but abusers are often funny, witty, charming - that's how they get people to stay. And none of that surface fluff should detract or distract from the real harm done by Harrison and people like him.

Can I add to that, the fucking annoying accent?

You're on an awesome boat in the middle of Sydney Harbour with a very handsome and lovely man, drinking wine. Do you:

a. Consider how bloody lucky you are and enjoy the moment?
b. Strop off below deck to feel sorry for yourself and dab your false lashes?

Seriously, the woman will never be happy.

Come on folks, too many spoilers creeping in ☹️

I would hardly say they were spoilers and to report my posts is beyond a joke.

Floofydawg · 26/04/2023 09:49

@Thegoodbadandugly I didn't report them. But most of us don't want to know anything that's happened after the series has finished.

RegainingTheWill2023 · 26/04/2023 10:14

@Thegoodbadandugly
I think a lot of us have been on these threads from the start of MAFSAus. It proved impossible to have a single thread as there was so much debate about what constituted a spoiler.
So this thread has always stuck to discussing the content shown on the programme and nothing else, neither history nor future. As soon as links to Instagram (even historical) etc start appearing, this inevitably leads to more links which end up as hints and then spoilers.
Other threads are used differently.
I hope that explains why posters here might react in a way that may seem unreasonable.
There have also been accusations of unjustified policing of the thread etc. in the past and angry responses to us trying to keep the thread in time with the broadcast on e4. Of course its a free forum, but it's really good when we can chat just about the programme.

It’s like Alyssa is doing everything in her power to make Duncan finish it. When they were having drinks with her friends and she said to Duncan (for the 30 millionth time) that he will never understand how her CHILD takes priority and he can’t say that he’s okay with that because he doesn’t know how he’ll feel. And then Duncan relented and said well obviously you never know anything 100% until you try. Which is what she’d just been saying. And then Alyssa looked at him incredulously like he’d just told her he taken a shit in the kettle! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I'm ages behind.
I dislike Harrison enormously but I did laugh when he said not all kings wear crowns; some wear backwards baseball caps. 😄

Yeah, Harrison's a king. A fucKING knob.

MelsMoneyTree · 26/04/2023 11:10

Since quite a few historic Kings <carefully sidesteps any comment on the current incumbent> are known for being weak, selfish and treating women like shit, Harrison matches them quite well.

HairyMcHairyFace · 26/04/2023 12:08

I had a meeting this morning about my upcoming trip to Australia and when my manager asked what preparation I'd done in advance of some meetings I felt "watched MAFS and dissected it online" might not be the best answer.

Annoying when her friends chimed in as well. I can sort of see why she's spooked (have been in her shoes though sadly not with Duncan 😆) but why the hell did she go on mafs then? Why not wait a few years? She seems really unable to cope with difficult discussions even though he is really patient.

peasando · 26/04/2023 13:54

Just catching up with yesterday...did anyone realise that Alyssa has a child????

campingwidow · 26/04/2023 16:48

MelsMoneyTree · 25/04/2023 22:31

Oh I have so many opinions! (much later than the rest of you because our internet tonight has had all the connectivity of a carpenter in the Northern Territories).
Cam could easily work somewhere else and told the experts he wanted to give up his current lifestyle of working away 6 months of the year. That's why they let him on the show. But now he's too wee and too feart to actually make any changes. I used to have to travel with work (not to NT but to remote areas where I needed a satellite phone). I gave that up when I wanted to have a marriage and DC because it does not work with those type of commitments.
This feels like my olive pleather dress all over again ... but I'm putting my head above the parapet to say ... I actually felt a bit sorry for Alyssa tonight. Every time - in every other episode - when she said she had a child she had to prioritise - she thought she was saying 'I can't live with anyone fulltime because I'm not introducing a random to my child'. Also I think her ex (who obviously was dysfunctional because she thinks her relationship with Dunc is the best she's ever had) is probably putting lots of pressure on her not to dump their DC with a babysitter whilst she has a shot on Duncan's boat.
It's funny to me that Dunc and Al live 8 or 18 minutes apart and don't know people in common. If I was introduced to someone who lived 18 minutes away from me, I can guarantee we'd know someone from each other's school, a former work colleague and at least one distant relative of each other.

You’ve used the word feart so I guarantee we’ll have at least a mutual Facebook friend 😂

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 26/04/2023 17:33

Another feart user here. We are everywhere. 🤣

MelsMoneyTree · 26/04/2023 18:10

😂and I bet we all have less than six degrees of separation from each other. Probably closer to three!

GurkeyTurkey · 26/04/2023 18:13

I nearly kicked the tv last night when Alyssa's annoying mum friend was grilling Duncan, then when he said he'd got friends/relatives with kids (because they were acting like children were a completely alien concept to him) she rolled her eyes and said "that's not the saaaaaame" in a really smug and condescending way.

Piggywaspushed · 26/04/2023 18:18

Why does Alyssa always say a child? I can see she is avoiding using the name but the voiceover told us it's a boy. I guess Alyssa might not know that. It odes add considerably to the annoyance because it seems actually quite cold.

Just to be a bit left field, I kind of feel sorry for Cam. I like Lyndall but she can' change Cam. If they aren't compatible she needs to realise that not keep whining at him about kissing. It makes her appear a bit needy. When he said sorry and patted her , it became really obvious he is just one of those rather stuffed shirt types.

Piggywaspushed · 26/04/2023 18:20

theluckiest · 25/04/2023 22:04

Ah, it's just said he's a carpenter.

Making what though??!!! What can he be making in the back of beyond? That takes 6 months...

A massive fence?

Fun fact. Australia does indeed have the world's longest fence.

In one episode it became apparent he actually works with/for quite a lot of first nation people. I do think he loves his job and the wilderness.

awaynboilyurheid · 26/04/2023 18:58

Aww poor Lyndall, she was holding out for a loved up version of Cam but it ain’t happening, I knew his mother was weird and so he confirmed he didn’t have a loving background last night. Time to let it go, wish she had been paired with Ollie think that would have worked really well.
Thank you to all the laughs from the idiot that has a CHILD, the titanic one is 🤣

dapsnotplimsolls · 26/04/2023 19:17

Just caught up ready for tonight's episode.

  1. So ... just checking .... Alyssa has a son and is very emotional, right?!
  2. Cam is a twatwaffle
  3. Rupes looks not bad in a vest
  4. I have no urge to be kissed by a barra
  5. I have nearly forgiven Dunc for the green monstrosity from last week

We know it’s coming! 🤣
